EZDAN 4 Wakra; Issues

albe
By albe

Hi all,
Just to relieve my stresses living in EZDAN 4 Wakra; its been more than 3 months of stay there and my experiences are:

1. The advertised Swimmimg Pool is always closed, the pool is often kept dry as a desert ocassionally they fill it up but only to let their labourers to draw water from pool to water the plants!

2. Was enticed to reside in this place as a big lovely football court (complete with goal posts etc) was available, but later on this is coverted to a industry-looking yard with sound and fumes of Diesel Generators (many of them, i guess it for their EZDAN, 5,6,7,8 etc)

3. As of date no supermarket or retail shop is available; residents have to travel more than 3 Km to the nearest ones.

4. No Qtel landline connection. Ezdan sales personnel enticed customers with words like "landline in a months time" since 3 months. Of course Qtel is accepting connection requests, but do not expect an answer to your "When?", capacity addition, not enough connections etc are the phrases randomly heard.

5. No internet! Of course this is linked to Qtel landline but whats the point spending about QR 1000 for a USB internet connection only to see that the mobile 3G network connection is not available in your room. So its a common sight to see residents, sitting in pavements and public locations trying to "catch signal".

6. Majority of the security guys are rude or of indifferent attitute to let you in even in you are rushing in to your family for an urgent need.

7. Chineese bulbs installed often blow up as in fireworks very soon after installation, so you have to buy your own light bulbs.

8. Gymnasiums open only after 8am, making sure that you have reached office for the day :-)

9. A working husband and wife better sell off one of your vehicles in case they own 2 and have rented out a 2 Bedroom apartment; the admin guys says rudely "2 Bedroom tenants are not supposed to have 2 vehicles"!

10. Routine electricity shut downs for maintenenace almost weekly, construction work on earlier open spaces, delays in garbage cleaning, limited (2 No) satellite dishes, no maintenance guys on fridays, delay in getting gas refills, newspapers etc.

All these make me feel that I got a raw deal.

Thanks all for listening.

Presntly I am Paying average 1800 QR for my Villa where as I was used to pay 350 QR in the initil months of 2010.When I complained this to KAHRAMAA Head office they had taken another 50 QR from me to check their meter in My house. This is happens to you as well?

what cases miss zara? i havent heard anything....

Thanks albe.. so THATS whats wrong with the lights lol

i thought it had something to do with the lighting...

not the bulbs... funny thing is its only the living room ones that blow.. well in my case anyway...

theres only one security that i found to be rude... when i go to use the pool always stating its closed and what not.. or tells me to go to the manager.... i dont think he knows what his job is...

but other security seem to be nice.. i see them talking and stuff to the kids.

what do you mean the generators are for the surrounding ezdans? so they are not even for 4? i think ezdan 3 has also so i thought this was the norm... although i thought it was rather stupid that the football ground never even got used!!!

Only if u guys knew who the boss of this company was... you would realise that there is no point complaining :-)

There has been repeated without-notice power shut downs. Again, the management has stopped delivery of drinking-water to door step. Residents have to carry them from the main gate.

I should say, there has been some improvement

1. Grocery shop is now functional.

2. Swimming pool (crowded) is functional.

3. Qtel has started giving connections

But negatives continue.

1. Noisy, fuming Diesel Generators (for other Ezdan compounds) are being added at the rate of one new one per day {Woe to me and like residents who chose the calm location near the ex-football court, for now can't sleep because of the noise of generators which look like they can take the complete electrical load of Qatar}

2. Furnitures are of low quality {Dining chairs turn into rocking chairs in just a couple of months!}.

Recently the management posted a circular stating they would take legal action against tenants who place footwear outside and to those who dry clothes outside; but can tenants take legal action against the management for all failings???

Looking for ideas to get out of this EZDAN mess!!! Guess I have to serve my term :-(

Good to know. We're starting to look for new places now as the Zig Zag is just such a decaying crap hole we don't want to live in it anymore. We'll avoid Ezdan.

yes we pay for what we get but in ezdan 4 u will not get at least the minimum of what u pay

We visited Ezdan 4 a few weeks ago. They showed us an apartment in the first floor, and told us the ground floor flats are "all gone". Although I saw there were barely any people living in the whole compound!

The bulbs blew up even when the guy turned them on to show us the apartment. It was loud and the breaker went off.

Later, an Ezdan employee told us all the "bad points" about Ezdan 4 and told us he can arrange a flat for us in Ezdan 3 if we paid him "commission".

Among the "bad points" of Ezdan 4 he disclosed to us were:

1. QTel landlines and internet is not gonna happen anytime in the near future. Qtel simply doesn't have enough lines to meet the demand.

2. More generators are going to be added and Ezdan 4 is going to get noisier.

3. grocery store is yet to start

4. Ezdan 4 is more "lonesome" because there are fewer people living there (despite his previous claim that ground floor flats are not available).

Apparently he knew someone vacating a flat in Ezdan 3.

Taking my firsthand experience into consideration and the comments posted above by albe, I have decided not to move there.

Thanks Albe and the other users for sharing their experience about Ezdan 4. Hope Ezdan is reading this thread and takes measures to clean up their act. I would be interested to know if the situation changes. Thanks.

All The staff in EZDAN is un professional and so rude and they talk to the tenants very rudely and always clam down u on promises. They are worst management i have ever seen in my life. i Used to work in real estate and i have rented out some flats but i did not charge to my clients as EZDAN said they will pay commission for as many flats or villas we will rented out. later on i keep visiting thier office for the commission , sometime they said that manager is not here he will approve and like in that way they passed 4 months. i provide contract copies and my clients name , tel everything Later on i receive a letter from EZDAN that we cannot give you commision because you don't have sufficient docs that the clients whose data and contract copies provide by you is your client. it so stupid and rubbish by sending this kind of letter. i provide all the evidence even though i told them that i will bring my clients and they will tell then how they find this compound.. but they refused.. it was clear that they have already put that money in their wallets. Whole management is stupid and illiterate.

A friend of mine was staying at Ezdan. The accommodation was provided by his employer, so not his choice. He had a party in his flat. The "security" guard, who speaks neither English nor Arabic, kept asking all the guests coming to the party where they were going and then would follow all of them from the front door, in the elevator, up to the flat. VERY creepy!

Thanks for the heads up. The Ezdan Towers in Westbay are a different story. I have been there for 3 months and found the staff, facilities and services to be satisfactory. The gym and pool are very large and mostly well kept. The staff at the desk is cordial and the cleaning staff for the rooms do an excellent job. The buildings and fixtrures are not the best quality but everything works. We have reliable internet and TV. There is a "K-Mart" convenience store in the property for the basic supplies. There are 4 restarants but they are not good at all. We mostly eat out.

Ezdan for losers—didn't you know this?

Stupid management; annoying contracts. A really horrible experience. People who live there are usually from the lowest end.

Welcome to Ezdan, my friend.
