Experience with Iphone Scammer

I had been looking to buy an IPhone
In the USA, it is approx 1500 Qrs but it comes locked with 2 year At&t Contract
In the UK, it is approx 3000Qrs and can be used with any carrier worldwide
In the Local Market, it is around 3000 – 3200 Qrs

I was browsing the net to find an Iphone for a cheaper Price
Even on QL , we can find such ads posted repeatedly
The one which I fell for was…Tele-Active
They have a Website www.tele-active.com
They claim to be based in California, USA
They have a 24/7 chat guy on msn as Customer Support [email protected]
They have a USA Telephone No, Yes they do attend the callsl!!

I added the msn id to my msn
The chat was like this:
Tele-Active: Which of our iphone would u like to have and how many ( as if it sum bakery product)
ME : One iphone 4 16Gb, How much is it?
Tele-Active: 450US$
ME: How about the payment?
Tele-Active: You can send thru Western Union, where r u from?
ME: Qatar
Tele-Active: Send us full shipping address:
ME: I gave him
Tele-Active: Our Accountant is preparing the invoice and we will send it to you, when will u do the payment
ME: I want some assurance, Can I have one of ur Customer no?
Tele-Active: We don’t give out customer Personal No’s
ME: I would appreciate if u would
Tele-Active: He gave me one saying he is from Egypt and one of reputable customers
ME: within 24 Hours
(After 5 – 7 mins , I got an invoice, I have attached it here)

I was doubtful so I wanted to make sure they r genuine
1. On their website, they have three addresses
First address, points to a tree
Second one, points to a highway with no complex around it
Third one , points to a Mission Valley Shopping Complex and inside the Complex , there is a famous store Called Target Store ( a chain of stores all over the USA)
(Used Google Earth)

2. His Ip address shows Redmond City where as they claim they r in California
(Used Cports)

3. They have a USA telephone NO, anyone from anypart of the world can have a USA no.
There r many websited giving out USA no’s for free
Example: www.ipkall.com

4. I called to the customer no which he gave me , he was screaming
Calle up again , and asked have u bought an iphone
He said yes and the iphone is working perfectly
Finaly I asked is he an Egyptian , he said he is from Ethiopia and a student in Egypt
(He is one of them)

After all these , I go to the guy and chat with him abt all the 4 points, he gave all stupid responses and kiddish ones!!

I just deleted his id , of course did not send one riyal

Don’t go into anything that is TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE
