Expatriates and Savings

Work hard and save when the sun is shining.

Most of the young expatriates migrate to the middle east for earning few more bucks yet they are not able to save enough as they succumb to impulsive (buying without a dire need) buying at the malls which they need to avoid, in order to save when the sun is shining.

Simple, just have heaps and heaps of kids and pray to god that they will have enough money to care for you when you are too old to work.

yep, don't buy iPhone! Also don't go to the movie, don't share a nice meal with your close ones, don't attend any friends' birthdays or other parties (you need to buy a gift, right??), don't help less fortunate ones... Do not LIVE.. Put your life on hold.. Keep saving for "TOMORROW".. but hey, has anyone ever seen this "tomorrow"?

The thing which goes under your throat is what you have earned , Rest is addition and subtraction

Yep save for tomorrow and enjoy the savings when you need a stick even to walk...:) Since, you get only one time youth and one time life guess one should enjoy it as it comes rather than thinking of tomorrow. What if you saved the first 10 years of your youth and then died in a road accident or due to anything else. You sure didnt live your life, did you? And I am sure the protagonists of this thought also believe or copy paste ...one life to live, live it to the fullest....;)

You get only one time youth and one time life, which should have a better and bigger purpose, and most of your ambitions and purposes can be fulfilled with the help of money if you save some.

Thelo,

Excellent example that clarifies the whole concept of ruining your hard earn money.

Che, one habit if you could develop is, go to the mall, with only Qar. 50 in your pocket every time. Just try this for a month and see how much you save.

I completely agree with your opinion but then what can one actually do in order to avoid it? and how can one make his savings here? Thanks for raising up the point and please dimmed it necessary to answer my quest.
