Expat seen as threat could be deported

Any expat deemed to be a threat to the country can be deported without even recourse to a trial.
Also MOI does not have to divulge the reasons why a person has been asked to leave the country.

@ that guy, you say its the perfect time to invest in Qatar, could you please educate me on how you came to that conclusion...

before you answer that some food for thought.

1. All the boom in qatar is based on construction to support the infrastructure and energy development.

2. Presently 30,000 people come to qatar every month of which 80% are blue colllared.

3. The biggest gas reserves in qatar is in ras laffan, recent studies shows that the geological impact of the expansion might be adverse, in all probability there will be a moratorium on expansion in ras laffan from 2011.

4. Real estate prices are booming, but for how long. WIth the introduction of the low cost government housing schemes, the completion of the lusail project to house 200k odd people, I dont see real estate prices going up over the long run.

5. The construction boom will be over be 2015, then the rate of growth would be more stablized.

6. If present plans come through, there will be more supply than demand when it comes to housing issues.

7. Have you factored in all the construction that is ongoing now, it will be all complete soon.

8. Compare Dubai and Qatar in terms of projects undertaken. Qatar's investment is solely into civil infrastructure and gas expansion projections whereas Dubai is more into entertainment et al. So, say bubble breaks, it would make more sense to be in dubai than in qatar.

8. Yes, if you are looking at real estate as a short term investment of say 5-7 years, it makes sense, but over and above that I would not recommend it.

9. The only reasoning I can see someone invest in Qatar is because that they actualy like the country and want to live here. I have been here for a while and yes, I like the country and the people and would not mind living here. But putting my money into Qatar, thinking that its a wise investment, on which I will get ROI is a fantasy.

i think to many of you are over thinking this... i mean seriously how do you think dubia came about... and if your telling me that investing now is wrong... your about retarded...

a good investment requires risk and is done early...

if this place gets to a point were all these laws are crystal clear... and everything is all hunky dorry and no one is upset... then that would mean there would be more people wanting to invest ... which means the market would rise... and the people who invested earlier are the ones now selling to the people who werent as risky...

so in closing... now is the best time to invest because no one is wanting to invest... and if thinks keep going the way they are... then this country will be a money maker in about 5 to 10 years... and anyone who invested today is going to be the happiest

John Doe and Timbaland...... C'mon that is nowhere in all this....Paris goes into jail for drunk driving.... Its everywhere....Rules are rules... There are laws against child molestation and sex abuse in the us too....Cmon, what is important is the respect...

1. John Doe, spends two million buying a flat at the pearl.

2. John Doe, gets into fisticuffs with a powerful national

3. Powerful national pulls a few strings and gets john doe deemed as a threat to national security for assaulting a local.

4. John Doe gets kicked out of the coutnry...

... what I am driving at is that Qatar is not a safe place to invest your money in .. till all the rules and regulations are crystal clear.

rgds,

with the US immigration policies and the fact that they have become incresing tight...but if it cuts down on the number of terrorism attacks or the amont of people the government have to keep tabs on...it works. Each country is entitled to that for its own protection.

This is what happens when the system becomes too powerful and it starts eroding human rights. Its an irony that we humans design these systems and one day we become slaves of the system.

How do you punish someone without telling him the reason. This will open a pandorx box of deportations

Well at least think before you do something or speak something.

Remember that even the kind of websites that you visit itself

will be one of the reasons.

things that happen that we don't know about but that can be a real threat to the country. Its that inside track that can make or break it. I think, however that the person being deported has a right to know the reason.
