Dear Sir,

You can lease for it 99 years, save on rent and sell when it gets appreciated.

Real estate operates under the "Boom and Bust" cycle, so if someone is prudent, he would invest in the Bust period and sell in the boom period. One essentially needs to do the analytical and comparative study before investing.

Dubai is a unique market, where many forces are playing in the real estates.

The real estate offers, phenomenal growth prospects, which is why every Qatari with surplus money, loves to invest in the real estate.

if your a local then it makes sense to buy, but for an expat your just a tissue paper.

Tell that to those who lost millions in Qatar and UAE after the last crash

Investing in the real estate is one of best and low risk businesses in the world.

Rental income and value appreciation are two sources of substantial income that you can generate from one property at the same time.

However you need to do a good study of it, like if the prices are peaking then stay away, or vice versa.

"Buy Low, Hold it, and Sell High" is the golden rule.

Invest in Mutual Funds schemes in your native place for peace of mind & better control, you may sell & get the proceeds in max 5 days .......... There are many Tax Saver plans ........... Very much interesting .............. Much profitable than traditional Bank FDs ...........

Possibly less than you paid for.

The only benefit is that you save on rent and will have some equity in the property when you decide to leave

There no benefits! An expat can never OWN a property in Qatar, it's only a 99-year lease. Demand for housing is also going down. It's wiser to invest elsewhere!
