Enviropig - Is this the future ?
Enviropig or Frankenswine ?
GM food technology is moving from vegetables to animals.
With the increase in world population and the need for more food, Is this the answer ?
Enviropig - Each one contains genes from mice and E.coli bacteria, which have been inserted into their DNA with absolute precision.
Those genes make a small but important difference to the way these pigs process their food.
Some regard it as a dangerous science.
For anti-GM campaigner Lucy Sharratt, the very notion of transgenic animals is a nightmare.
"I am very worried and I think people around the world should be worried about what's happening in North America," she says.
What say you ???

E.coli? Ew.
I don't eat pigs anyway, thank goodness.
I think I'll just stick with chocolate :)
Genetically modified plants and animals thy dont live just like tht, tht need special medicines and fertilizes, This is business and this will not solve scarcity of food.
