Environment or Public Service Groups

Hello,  I really need a social life and would like to invest some of my time being involved in environmental programs here in Doha, or perhaps participating in some form of public service.  I'm rotting in my house doing nothing, and am sure that I can be a productive member of society.  Plus... is there anything in Doha for young, single professionals to do other than work?  -thanks

So who's pocketing the money in Doha?  Someone's sitting on some loot.

Meera - Ok I will give you a task. Can you convince our landlord or Municipality or both of them to repair the miserable state of our road:(

Munnipality says it is Landlord's resposibility. Landload say it is Municipality's responcilbility

I take your comment to be sarcasm... right?  I've driven by there once or twice and all I can recall are dry, roadless, sandy/dust banks leveled by vehicles.  If I'm wrong with my recollection, set me straight.

I guess events or programs that require volunteer help or assistance in organizing or even basic manpower.  Something involving the improvement of the health and comfort of people would be nice..... I guess that's probably not an issue in a rich country like Doha.....But who knows....?  There could be an issue here that needs to be addressed.
