DETROIT (Reuters) - General Motors Corp on Wednesday said its global vehicle sales for 2008 had dropped 11 percent, allowing rival Toyota Motor Corp to surpass it as the world's largest automaker for the first time.

Excellence and dependability in my opinion, is always lacking in GM cars and now I think the customers have realised this. Japanese cars entail less and cheaper maintenance too!
i don't think so. the 3 big would fight back in new constellations and become as strong as ever.
What is making problems for US Car manufacturers are all the Retirements packages they pay out, way beyond any other Companies in the Car Industry.
