EMPLOYEE SALARIES BEING KEPT ON HOLD

Snowstorm
By Snowstorm

Hi friends,

Can someone please help me out on this topic.

Is it legal for a company operating in Qatar to hold the salary of all staff for any particular reason.

What is the time frame for paying the salaries of employees.

Is arrears allowed. If so by how much

The bottom line is, can an employee make a complaint on this issue that his salaries are not paid on time..

I would appreciate your comments on this issue

thanks in advance

'Administrations' stopped working that's why salaries were late.

then you have to be 15%-20% "happier"

and hey, Snowstorm, following "once a month" schedule...if you got your last salary on Dec 1, your company has rights to issue your next paycheck on January 31.. it still will be "once a month"...

I have got mine one couple of days ago.. :) Hope the next one will be at least 15%-20% "heavier".. :)

Dracula, in the worst case you lose 1 month payment. You should immediately stop working for a company if your salary is three days late!!

Your way of thinking doesn't work, heero. If you start to work you should get payment within that month! (Once in every month)!

They get paid this month for the October works.

Article 66 of the Labor Law states:" The wages of the workers employed on an annual or monthly wages shall be paid at least once in every month."

Besides the fact that the text itself is pretty much rubbish, it says that a payment once a month is required.
