Emergency Response Team - Hamad Hospital

I guess you all are aware of the new airlift services introduced by Hamad Hospital. they are indeed doing a wonderful job. I saw them twice in Salwa Industrial area, attending road accidents.
Luckily i could get a video yesterday as i was driving back home. I have uploaded the video to youtube if any of you wanna watch.
You can't actually see the guy involved in the haz as no one was given access except the cops and the emergency team.. They were there foralmost an hour so i guess the accident was pretty serious......
Excellent service by Hamad Hospital!
Cheers
Its true there should be closer medical care at Sealine given the accidents there if you have someone seriously hurt they won't let them enter Sealine either. Qatar needs lots of changes, I think in time they will make things better at least lets hope so. But I understand their is a new hospital in that area but not as close as Sealine.
in this area, this is great. BTW, Hamad should install an emergency first-aid cabin in Sealine area, with all that sand dunes activities out there, who knows when an accident could occur? If there is already a clinic or emergency cabin there, then they should mark it to be very visible to all. Just a suggestion....

I think but do their not to consider safety crew? no ensurance,no payment of the risk...specially no only increase the increase in work and memos!we loved our work but we can not do this without gud compensations

Met some of the Aussies and Americans training the crews. They say that there were eventually be night-flight capabilities but that there aren't enough crews trained to that competence level yet-another year or so apparently. Have heard good things said about the crews and medics by their trainers.
Can anyone provide me with any info about the EMS Division at HMC?
How many staff are in the dept, qualifications, etc?
Whats the caseload like monthly, spread of case types?
How progressive are they at Hamed, e.g. protocols up-to-date, staff involvement in performance related activities?
Anyone in the dept welcome to contact me off list at [email protected]
Nala

YOU DONT KNOW ME, DONT EVEN TRY !!!
Its our depts( EMS) initiative
EMS- "Our job is to save lives and we are highly trained to do it"
I think it is not a Hamad hospital initiative
I heard it is the National Health Authority who funds this service.
.
very nice job specially when you hear the word "THANK YOU"
very wonderful jop...happy to see this
sorry to hear about this
YOU DONT KNOW ME, DONT EVEN TRY !!!
yup we have helocopters one of a kind ambulances and equipments etc....but do they consider the safety of the crew???no ensurance,no hazard pay...specially no increase only increase in works and memos!we loved our work but we cannot do this without gud compensation....PEACE
i dont think they would of deployed an airlift rescue team if there wasnt a good chance of survival.
Rabina yi7fazna gamee3an.
Is he dead or alive..???
Just wondering as the Hamad guys had took him..
This is just one of the several helicopters our dept(EMS) is trying to launch. Soon you will see several of these flying in our skies. Just keep your patience and fingers crossed because we in EMS dept have no time to rest and everyday including night are battling the now congested roads of Doha trying to improve our services for you.
EMS- "Our job is to save lives and we are highly trained to do it"
Great job, keep it up
That's excellent.
It's always the small things that make big differences.
The problem with the Hamad Emergency section is its far toooooooo small for the population and they can't triage. I went in with 3 broken ribs possible ruptured spleen and in shock and I was put in the cut and scrape room for 2 hours. I told them I could not breath and I knew my ribs were broken but unless you cry and scream they ignore you so get your lungs prepared those that scream the loudest get cared for. They need a much bigger unit for just trauma a secured area without the public milling in the halls. I wish they took medical care as seriously as education then we would be in great shape. They have way too many patients and too few drs. and staff.
At least sending the patient to the hospital as fast as possible can be the difference between life and death.. however, once the patient is in the hospital, treatment is another matter... how are the quality of the doctors there nowadays? Any comments on that?
anyway.. this or that.. its a gud thing to have emergency airlift services by Hamad...
i guess they took d idea from dubai.. atleast thats wat it looks like.. coz dubai has this from ages.. elz ppl will die on the way to hospital itself.. a drive of 2-3 hours i can say..
very useful service by hamad n its callsign is life flight.save so many in short time.thanks
video no longer available :(
How come I miss the good bits!
it is called the medivac, and the helicopter is made by a french firm Eurocopter
- live your life as simple as you are
- money doesn't create man, but it is the man who created money
- don't do what others say, just listen to them, but do what you feel good
its good that hamad hospital has launced the air ambulance serivce BUT there are some drawback too
1. it is one of a kind without tail rotor which makes it an expensive aircraft (not our issue....but have to mention facts)
2. it can carry 1 casuality at a time.
3. it cant fly more than an hour
4. it does'nt have night flying capabilities
5. neither does the crew fly at night....
for night purpose airforce crew are called (which happens very rarely) which have have bigger aircraft which can fly anytime, have more flying endurance and can carry more than 10 persons, they have night capabilities and have experieced crew than that of hamad
Thanks for posting this - skip through to a minute into the video to see the helicopter take off! ---Please read our Community Guidelines before posting on Qatar Living. It will save us all a lot of pain :)
Hamad is steadily improvingit's services and has achieved the JCI certification also working on the new updated one.
True Jasmine
Especially when considering the road traffic this is a wonderful service.
cheers
YOU DONT KNOW ME, DONT EVEN TRY !!!
I couldn't agree with you more, good for them! In the UK, the Air Ambulance Service is funded by charity, if you have an accident at the end of the month when the money is gone, they can't attend unless exceptional circumstances. We are so lucky to live here with this fantastic health service
the emergency response team do an excellent job!!
