Next to the Virgin Megastore you will find the BEST Cafe in town! You got to try it out - mediterranean cuisine in true cafe style. The food is excellent, the surroundings are great - you got to go there. What a breath of fresh air after Starbucks - yuch!

I would like to try Dulce Cafe.
Having a place to sit down, read, & drink coffee in a bookstore might be a good idea. However, the owners could be adviced to request little money for reading while in the bookstore.

Shame there's no coffee shop inside a bookshop. One of my favourite ways to spend an afternoon in the UK was to sit in a coffee shop with a pile of books, reading a few chapters before I decided which one to buy. Very civilized.
On a related note - I was talking to the manager of Virgin on Monday - he says he's got a ton more books in storage, but until the rest of his space is opened up, he can't display them. In particular, his current display of computer books will improve.
I also asked him about the 18+ movies, which have mosty been butchered by the UAE censor - he couldn't offer any hope there.
