Dubai Country Club
Hi everyone! yes you read right I am talking about Dubai Country Club!! I am live in Dubai and use the Country Club all the time, now we have found out that it is going to be pulled down so that they can build this new horseracing development MEYDAN. The Country Club was built on gifted land from Sheik Rashid, that land is now being taken away from us. Personally I am devastated about it, I held my wedding there and also my daughters christening so it holds fond memories. I have set up a petition site and I was rather hoping that some of you would sign it for me.

last year the ski club and Jebel Ali Sailing club were pulled down to make way for new developments. Whilst Dubai is expanding at a rate of notts they really are destroying some quite historic places along the way.

of course I will, if I get a meeting with him. I haven't heard anything back from my request to meet with him.

Would you mind to post the update on your meeting with HH Sheikh Mohammad? Finger cross he can do something about it.

yes I can be found at www.expatjam.com, where there is a thread about what is going on at DCC for those of you who are interested. I am sure there are people in Qatar who have lived in Dubai and managed to get OUT!!
I really am devastated about this, I have even requested a meeting with HH Sheik Mohammad to see if he can help in anyway. It is just so sad
