DOHA The alarm bell is ringing loud and clear for parents as well as authorities to wake up and take notice as more and more teenagers in the region are turning drug addicts.

More and more young people now openly talk of their peers taking banned drugs despite greater awareness about the harmful effects of narcotics on the physical and mental health of the user.
....Omar, a 12-year-old Omani boy (name changed) said, “I know some people my age who smoke and take drugs.

There are lots of them in our school.

They are taking to drugs because their friends are luring them into it.

They just go out with their friends and take drugs and their families don’t know about it.

Last year, I had one school mate who was caught while smoking.

He was expelled from the school immediately.” Ramy, a 14-year-old Qatari boy (name changed), said, “I know four people my age who are hooked on drugs.

They are my classmates.

They use it after school hours.

It’s called suwayka.” Muhammad, another 14-yearold Qatari (name changed) said, “Suwayka is a type of herb you put under the lower lip.

Qatar needs to toughen its law on nacortics carrier & usage, like a mandatory death sentence when caught. Its one of a way to do effective deterence

"squint your eyes and look closer

I'm not between you and your ambition

I am a poster girl with no poster

I am thirty-two flavors and then some

and I'm beyond your peripheral vision

so you might want to turn your head

cause someday you're going to get hungry

and eat most of the words you just said"

Some of you Fu**wads need to learn to take a little sarcasm. How many times has it been said on this site that these things don't happen here because it's a good Muslim country. Sheesh. Some people are out looking for Islam bashers at every turn.

once a person is doped with it.

So it's not necessarily a western, an arab, or asian. What matters most are that these are young kids.

Is it like that stuff they use in Yemen? Qat or something it's called?

My little bro fell into the wrong crowd of Qatari boys here and ended up on coke & hash.

The West. Suwayka clearly is a western drug. I think Nestle produces it.

Drugs are haram, of course good Muslim boys and girls wouldn't be using them. It must be the evil Western boys and girls.
