Driving in Qatar
Hello, can anybody clarify the rules on driving in Qatar?
1. can a tourist drive a hire car with his counrty license? for how many days/ weeks??
2. how about a privately registered cars?
3. what about havin' international driving license? is he allowed to drive in Doha for a month/s...?

Was in same place..If you do have the International driver license...you can drive up to 6 months if you do not have a residency permit, I.e. you are a tourist or on temporary residency.
Car rental cars MUST rent you on the INT driving license or they can be fined up to 10000QR however last time I checked they do not rent out cars yet to INT driver license holders. As for private cars yeah you can drive those.
your driving in doha your counrty license but 1 week only doha entery date starting. you go to Traffic dept, & you pay there QR,150 or 250 riyals for temp driving license.
tried calling the moroor but nobody wants to speak to me cause i dont speak and understand arabic, they just kept on transferring my call and after 5 transfer the last person told me no english
I sugest you go to Maroor,Traffic main office and take correct information
