Dream in Sleep

May be the topic is common to us and might be discussing very often. But, here its something different...

No Dreams in my sleep since the last two years. Or when I came to my new house. And its very tough to come out of sleep in the morning.

Rarely I may see a dream; (once in a blue moon), it will be about snake bite or something related to that. I repositioned my bed many times but the sleep seems really a short death.

I will go to bed at 10:30-11:00 and wakeup may be at after 9:00 if my wife didn't wake me up. Else it's tough wakeup even somebody waking me at 7:00AM too..!

What may be the cause? Is it the time to consult a physician?? Or anything else?? Or any prayers if anything happening around me at my sleep??

Please reply..

I liked the snake comments..! Usually, I will run from the snakes. Sometimes, it will bite on my right leg or right forearm. The factor is, I can remember the dream completely and it will end up incomplete... And I always check my leg and hand for any bite marks.. its so real in fact..!

@patiencew... its about thoughts and believe..! May be -ve or +ve, i will take life as it comes... :)

@Molten Metal... Now you must tell me when..! you put an expectation in my mind..!lol So, that rule applicable in Qatar?

@LLR.. Will it be true?

As per one book I read.. it depends on the type of snakes..their skin like shiny etc..

Furthermore it depends on the type of food we eat before going to bed as well..

In India snake is connected or always near by or with a hidden treasure ... means more wealth on your way ..

Hey Rafeeq, sorry to hear about your troubling dreams. Often snake bites, seeing snakes means that there is something very very negative that is happening in your life. could be someone close to you or distant, could be anxiety, stress etc. As others have rightly said, PRAY ABOUT IT. ASK GOD TO REVEAL THE THING OR PERSON TO YOU. its more mental/psychological than physical. so forget doctors or changing the position of your bed. its futile. it is often what we cannot see that attacks when we are vulnerable i.e SLEEP. Good luck

Dude, Try wake up for Fajr prayers evryday. evry night before sleep try subhanallah 33 , allhamdullilah 33 & allahuakbar 34. evry night when u go to sleep think that allah make us live on this day and thank for him to make u alive, and thank for him that all the things he gave on that day. and ask him forgiveness .

I dreamed a dream in time gone by

When hope was high and life worth living

I dreamed that love would never die

I prayed that God would be forgiving

Then I was young and unafraid

And dreams were made and used and wasted

There was no ransom to be paid

No song unsung, no wine untasted

:O(

avoid heavy food in night (specially late nights or just before sleep), it keeps your system working late, keeps you lazy in morning even next day,

Light food in dinner with a gap of 3 hrs before going to bed may be helpful.

I never woke up without dream so far..small or big..Try to keep your windows open or keep the A/C with moderate temperature.. If it is because you go to bed very late or cant sleep even if you go early..then drink a cup of Lukewarm milk before going to bed.

Nice comments..! hmm.. sounds lazyness :) trying to change the soft blanket, ac temperature and 2 more alarms to wakeup. Again trying to find bed as early as possible.. (If went to bed at 8:00PM also have the same impact for wakeup)

I guess you guys are lucky that you can sleep so much..for me its the opposite. If I don't work-out in the evening, I can't sleep well at night. Though I wake up by myself at 5 am, I feel lazy the whole day. So, try working out in the evening so that you get deep sleep at night. You may get up by yourself once you get the required sleep.

Don't worry! You're just getting cozy in your bed! Change the soft blankets, and try using a not-so-nice material !

I have this problem, or even worse! I can sleep continuously for 12-13 hours in a stretch if no one wakes me up and I find it hard to wake up in the morning - Who doesn't? Don't get worked up too much about this. These are just the starting signs of "Laziness".. lol.. I shamelessly admit it :)

What is the problem?? Dreams or no dreams?

Just dont think about it as a problem and you will be alright. If your not active or are getting obese may be you can work on that, in both cases seems one gets a bit slow.

BTW lucky you to get such sound sleep. I can barely manage to sleep for 4 hrs at a stretch irrespective of when I sleep. And dreams for me are very very rare too, so nothing to worry about that.

you are getting just 7 hrs of sleep. May be you should try 10 or 9:30PM to go to bed . Some combination will give your a fresh feeling in the morning.

well, maybe your room's too cold, lower the cooling level of your A/C. Sometimes, due to very chilled atmosphere, you may not feel comfortable while sleeping.

alternately, try sleeping a little late...often it happens that sleeping early, even when not tired or exhausted, and having longer hours of sleep will also make one feel tired...I experienced that a couple weeks ago, slept on the weekends for 8 hrs, and then felt way too tired during day time..

hope mi suggestions help :)
