Speaking as one of the trolls, has anyone else noticed that the QP guys are trying to advertise their site by making us all sound like monsters? There are many other ways to advertise your site Ram, because really you won't be able to keep trolls out of QP and people will get sick of comments being deleted, perhaps you should advertise it as being more youth oriented or perhaps as a simple Question and Answer site, rather then a place for people to meet and discuss issues.

Demonizing QL members however is not working, and casting a bad light on QP. In other words you're all starting to sound like a bunch of whiney babies.

PLUS we r not the owners to tell him don't promote here ur website .. someone is promoting a website ..another one was advertising a female only message and so on .. it's for free .. no rules control it ..

let me tell u something miserable ... and i'm so sorry for QLers who will be touched with this words .. some of the Qlers came in QPoint and they changed their nicknames ... they said that they r scared from those who r targeting them .. doesn't that shock u ?? Can u imagine that peoples r afraid on the internet while their doors r locked and at home .. they don't feel safe or secure .. it mess up and spoiled their life just bcuz of some IDIOTS who r being rude to them .. i don't wanna make it long .. but just sit back and imagine the situation and u will realize wut happened to QL ..

moreover it wasnt about being rude, it was more about attacking without provocation. i had to read the post again to try ti find out what upset you.

on forums, you cant let such issues hassles you. you are young and you have to understand that and you will become cool about it after a while. this was a very silly post that ticked you off, discussions get very ugly at times.

you were cool and came across as uncool.

members got irritated that you were blatantly advertising and then decided to personally single out one member.i found it wierd too.

How are you doing ? I know that I said that, but I did not mean that everyone who joined QP was rejected from QL. I said that these people felt that way because they went there and start talking with bad things about QL. If you join another community for good intentions, why would you talk like that about the other people and communities? Some of them felt that way while the others did not and I have no problems with anyone joining QP [why should I? none of my business] or any other websites.

The sad part is these people are making a clone of QL using its threads, go back to some of the threads and you will know what I'm talking about. I don't attack any of these people because it is none of my intentions. Everyone is free to do whatever he/she likes to do, but when it comes to attack the people that you used to be one of them once because you joined another community? I don't think that anyone would say that it is freedom, your freedom boundaries end where the other people ones start.

I told you that I was watching the thread as well as other threads before I come up with this post. I did not say that all of them are like that, but some of them it is just obvious what they are doing.

What they are doing there is none of my business or concern, wish them their all the best with their new community.

i am not too fond of gold myself, although indians are crazy about gold jewellery.our weddings have the bride weighed down with gold jewellery and it has to be 22k, the guest come to just evaluate the amount of gold the bride is wearing, its crazy.

i want to have a very tiny diamond stud.i just am not sure how its sits there without discomfort.

I was always watching this thread and keep quiet about it because it does not even worth posting here to give you some score here in our website. But I guess that it is more than what we all can take here so I'm going to say those few words and let you think about it.

Well, first of all Han19 is in the same age of your mother so don't speak to her like that because it was not nice at all.I second sister Azzy in that She is one of the sweetest QL members and that is why you people are targeting her. Learn about QL posting roles before you post something here. It is not QP

Try to prompt your website from somewhere else, using our website to prompt for yours and more than that speaking to the members without respect is something that no one can agree to it. Try the newspapers or Google Points to prompt your website. Recruiting people from here to do this job won't work because all QL know who really are those. They are the ones that felt rejected somehow because of their own mistakes, not the other QL members fault like they claim. Don't put yourself in trouble for being irresponsible for your posts and expect everyone to be fine with that.

Balance and Check everything that you write and say before you post it, if you feel that you would be offending someone or upsetting him/her then it is better to keep that opinion for you. I'm not asking you not to post here or say what you have in mind, but there is a limit to everything. Everything within the limits is sweet, but when it go beyond that then it turn into sour and we got a trouble here ....

If you want your own glory then look for it somewhere else and work for it, don't use this website to prompt for yours or make a clone of everything here.

Your true victory in having new members there which is currently your main concern is not in converting QL members into QP members. The people go there and come back to here, they don't even register .. just curious to know what is QP. First of all i thought that it was a comparison between Qatar Living [QL] and Qatar Petroleum [QP] and I was like ... this thread does not make any sense ....

So please if you can give us at least a break and stop this for a while. You don't know how much people would be appreciating this.

Since I've been here in QL, Han19 is one of the most sweetest, sensible and compassionate character here. I am very much surprised that a newbie like you (posting adverts and topics about another website) would target her and be obnoxious about it.

IMHO, all of us here have been tolerant enough and the QL administrators &/or site owners lenient enough to let you go on and promote your site.

Han19 said she registered to your site, you should be happy because your job of promoting the new site and trying to recruit everyone here in QL (by sending PMs)is not wasted...you're earning your keep so BE COOL ABOUT IT.

And before you point your gun towards my direction, please note that I can also go to that new site and complain to the administration/moderators (PAGING RAM) that you're getting to be insolent.

This is going to sound a bit patronizing. Sorry.

You need content, not just a vBulletin setup. There are several discussion boards running for Qatar residents and you're unlikely to tempt readers away from their favourite site (and all their friends) to your site (with nothing).

Find a niche, and work hard. Qatari gave me some figures from when he set up this site, and I don't think he'd mind me sharing them with you. For every 1000 unique visitors, you'll get 10 signups and one comment. If you can keep people visiting your site and provide them with something worthwhile, you can make a success of it.

However, if you're hoping that a new discussion board will draw users away from existing boards, you're going to be disappointed.

since last Thursday. It was only two days guys and I come back to see some people promoting for a website with 8 members, 8 posts and all top 8 posts are made by one person. Dude you gotta work harder on that to achieve '3%' of what have QL already achieved. Guess I don't need to sue my Sword here, .. something else would be more effective.

Han ... i dont think it would be a really big deal. Visiting a site is like visiting shops. You like the shops you will visit them regular ... you don't like the shop you will never go there again.

As for myself i am regular poster in some other boards too ... and it is including QL. :-)
