To all fellow fasting Muslims in QL please dont forgot to pay the Zakat Fitr.

Ibn `Umar said: “Allah’s Messenger enjoined the payment of one Sa` of dates or one Sa` of barley as Zakat-ul-Fitr on every Muslim slave or free, male or female, young or old, and he ordered that it be paid before the people went out to offer the `Eid prayer.

Zakathul Fithr is meant to offer food for the needy people atleast on the day of Eid. That is Sunnah.

I found one Saudi news paper says that as per Ulama, Zakathul Fithr should pay as food not money/coupons. I have the paper cutting, but I don't know how to upload it here.
