Does God exist???!!!

I thought it would b nice to share this with you:

"A man went to a barbershop to have his hair cut and
his beard trimmed.
As the barber began to work, they began to have a good
conversation. They talked about so many things and various subjects.
When they eventually touched on the subject of God, the barber said: "I don't
believe that God exists."

"Why do you say that?" asked the customer.

"Well, you just have to go out in the street to
realize that God doesn't exist.

Tell me, if God exists, would there be so
many sick people?
Would there be abandoned children? If God existed,

there would be neither suffering nor pain.

I can't imagine a loving God who would allow all of these things."

The customer thought for a moment, but didn't
respond because he didn't want to start an argument.

The barber finished his job and the customer left
the shop. Just after he left the barbershop,

he saw a man in the street with long, stringy, dirty hair and an untrimmed
beard.

He looked dirty and unkempt.

The customer turned back and entered the barber shop
again and he said to the barber:

"You know what? Barbers do not exist."

"How can you say that?" asked the surprised barber.
"I am here, and I am a barber. And I just worked on you!"

"No!" the customer exclaimed. "Barbers don't exist
because if they did,

there would be no people with dirty long hair and
untrimmed beards, like that man outside."

"Ah, but barbers DO exist! " answered the barber.
"What happens, is, people do not come to me."

"Exactly!"- affirmed the customer. "That's the
point! God, too, DOES exist!
What happens, is, people don't go to Him and do not
look for Him.
That's why there's so much pain and suffering in the world."

If you want to base it on science...answer this simple question:

Is there an EFFECT without a CAUSE?

If you can find an EFFECT without CAUSE, then GOD Does not exist. NO matter how far you go back in time...Prove that an EFFECT can HAPPEN without a CAUSE.

It's not because things are difficult that we don't dare, it's because we don't dare that makes things difficult!

Just in case those who don't believe God claim that thier denial (denial that God created all living matters and universe) base thier argument on science, then be it known that science is more supportive to God's existence.

Yes God is present....

He s the one who s given not only oxygen but this whole world for us.. True....

Also true that today the book talks about Oxygen... tomorrow they would say.. Oxygen is not element its compound... mixture of 2 different materials.. The I ll agree t it... I mean everyone shall...... coz they are proving it rationally.....

I also know there is no gaurantee of tomorrow...

thts why enjoy as much as you can now....

thts the key... there is no future.... whtevr it is it is Present..

We kill our present for the bright future... which never exists... we ll kill tht time for future ahead of tht time,... and never live...... like idiots...

Life is this very moment.... thts it...

Past is gone..no point of feeling guilty n wasting present for it...

And future is yet to come... no need to waste life for worrying for it.... since everyday its a new ball game........... you plan X and diff situations crop up.... plan has to be altered. whts use of the plan X then...

But still why is it not natural for us to accept GOD n his truths.....

I mean why can't our default setting be as a believer and not someone who has to struggle against the will to be a bad man....?? or women.... whtver......

Why is it difficult to reach him...??? Why is he not visible to common man easily...??? He exists... we need him in every step... then why be a suspense and test our faith....??????

hey ash ,,, well ur saying tht oxygen was proven by reasearches and book s ,, but why do u believe in books that were written by humans but dont believe in god whn he himself sends u his book and also not only the book but also his prophets to guide u in the right direction and to assure u he does exist but u still dont believe so ,,, but u believe in somethin by humans not only that but also in something u dont see , ,,,mmmm and things that have proven that oxygen does exist ,,,ever wounder who even created oxygen for us to breath or where it came from and how our body is absobing it and without it we wud die......

about believeing in tom , without even living or seein it , but u believe in it becuz u ve lived it for so many years and its the typical thing ,,, no its not cuz u never no when ur gonna die so how can u believe that ull live to see the next day thats if it even exists ,

but still u believe it exists without seeing it and thats cuz u ve lived like that since the day u were born , but gods book and god himself have been there before u were even born and u dont believe in them cuz u dont see them ,,, as for his merciness ,,god is fair in everyway and like said in thy above post .(JUSTICE shall be served on the day where even the dead shall rise to be judged,)

C2D - BAck to Hitler...

Let me share some burden of trouble...

I have read his Book "Mein Kampf"

I did it so.. because his image portrayed to the world is by people he fought against.... America, britan..

Of course History is always written by People who win the war... HEnce to understand him I read his thoughts n reasons....

He was all you have mentioned...

But not to forget he was a Avg Lad... a Painter too...

Flunked in school.. n all tht...

But his driving force was his desire to see his country as the best in the world...

He Blamed Jews for the problems in his country as they where holding majority of the positions in power but their decisions where not very people friendly... or not very German locals friendly....

He is a Good Example of Excess of anything is bad....

True..there are many many more things to talk about the most hated man in this world...

He taught us.... Loving your country is good... But extremism of anything is bad...

ShohDa..... Hey thanks for the post.. but help me out clearing these too.. which your post has provoked.

I know tomorrow shall come.. because I have seen it coming for so many days.... in my life.. no body has to prove tht to me.,,, I have lived tht truth...

Even if a law said there is no tomorrow... i would disagree strongly as I have seen it....

Same true with Oxygen, it is not only mentioned in the School Boks it is proven there,,, how oxygen molecules are absorbed.. and how our cells n tissues respire ... it is proven with formula n procedure...

But thing with our Religious Scriptures.. you call it Qu'ran.. I call Vedas n Upanishads... Christians call it Bible... Of course talks about pure truths which cannot be denied by anyone but....

1. They cannot be proven by something as lame as logic itself.... It is about realizing the truth.. the one who actually enjoys the ecstasy only can believe it.. he cannot pass on or share wit others..

2. Even if people know it - WE follow it because it is mentioned in the Holy Scriptures and do not focus much on why?? Factor.. so it now depends on ones faith in God to lead a good Life...

Even if people know, it is "Haram" still it is happening.. Human mind is good at by-passing whtevr stops it from doing something....

God is fair..don't ask what is the matter with God, but ask what is the matter with me! You may not be a believer in the judgement day but it is a day where justice will be implemented too! so God is fair. You just don't understand. Sometime you will be put in a very bad situation and you will start to think you lost everything and you hate everything, but after sometime, you will know that what happened was to your best.

To those who don't believe in God because they cannot see him I would say: when you get hit or face a bad situation you feel the pain although you don't see it but it is there. When you use your mobile fone, you know that the voice has travelled through air but you don't see it. You believe it because you hear it. We don't see God but we see God's effects.

Ashwindoke..I think you are trying to put me in trouble..lol..I do have an opinion about Hitler which is this:

Hitler is:

1- Talented.

2- Intelligent.

3- Powerful analyzer.

4- Very determined.

5- Brave.

6- Independent.

7- Risk taker.

Those are to name a few of his personal traits.

I am totally against his racism theories because I believe all people are equal like teeth of a comb. Good deeds is the only criteria to rank people.

However, something I credit Hitler for, is his honesty about being racist and his bravery. In WWI he fought in the front line and lost ability to see but recovered later on. What a brave man!

Man, his book is a must read. You will learn alot especially about Zionists and thier plans to rule the world! which they deny! You will also see how they stabbed Germany in the heart during WWI causing Germany to lose that war. Don't forget to take what is good and throw out what is bad- otherwise we are in trouble!

People speak about the number of Jews Hitler killed, which is magnified, and when mass killing is mentioned people condemn Hitler for doing something unprecedented!!

If you look at the number of innocent people who were killed by American, British & French armies & poloticians for no less evil of a reason than Hitler's reasons,if not worse, then you would realise how propaganda affects people's impressions and that Hitler was nothing to humanity compared to the aforementioned evils. Hitler appeared once, but those are successive systematic institutions that live by sucking other nations' blood.

This is only a brief of my opinion on Hitler.

I knew you would put me in trouble, lol, but I accept the challenge because I have to.

hey Victor You too from Mumbai???

Nice to meet you Sir... me too.. from thana

Back to the Topic... About Hanuman n Gappati...

Actually the very word "Monkey Gods" n "Elephant God" brings humor with it not the devotion..

So I would prefer calling them.. God as Monkey and GOd as Elephant.....

By the way.. I m not a Good person to comment on them as I am more into spiritual aspect of religion than the Idol worship... and neither do have good understanding of scriptures....

But i ll Do best I can....

Hanuman is suppose to be a Devotee of Lord Rama...

A Ideal role model to follow... Picture perfect family man.. King.. Brother....Husband....Son... n Father..

Hanuman is his Devotee.. the most sincere one ever..

His devotion is so pure.. selfless...n beautiful tht had he not been... Ram would have not been a God he is praised as today... He is suppose to be Son of God Varun..( God of wind)

And he being a Monkey... was very strong physically and jump really well.. these attributes where used when Lord Rama Fought with the Enemy Ravana..

This is all Mythology of course.. but the story.. or mythilogy ..every character had unique significance which was highlighting one or more aspect of how a true Hindu should behave...

Ganesha.. is Half man with head of a Elephant...

He is Son of Lord Shiva.... (Ling God)

He is God of Wisdom n knowledge.... (Smart fellow) and is prayed before starting anything new.....

Any prayer has to start with taking his name and then later others...

He is the youngest known God .. hence stories of his Mischievousness are fun ... Beautiful blend of Innocence and Knowledge.... (My favorite... being a Mumbaikar is a reason.. :) )

Hindu Religion very much like the Ancient Greeks have Mythologies .. but unlike them have a Scriptures.. which they didn.. and may be thts why Greek civilization didn last the fight against time...

Every religion based on scriptures have survived and are thriving ...

Ling... is representation of Lord Shiva....

Do not know more about the Linga as Such..

But Lord Shiva is God of Gods... most supreme one..

God of All saints n Seekers....

C2D - I would Love to... I have learned so much about the Islam and Christianity here.. time to return some favour...

There are many Gods in Hinduism... true,,,

Total number 3.3 Billion of them...

AS I told you Hinduism is quite flexible.. even in terms of prayers... This is shared with you in brief in few posts above by me for Adey...

I would focus on multiple Gods philosophy here...

The Reason and the Need...

Of course there is only One God... when you say supreme power... how can there many multiple supreme powers????

But different Gods signify different aspects of a God...

There is Lord Shiva.. known to be God of True seekers. for eternal Happiness...

Goddess Laxmi - For materialistic desires like money luxury etc..

Goddess Saraswati - For intelligence

Goddess Anapurna - For Food

And the list shall go on and on and on...

You name the human need and you have God or Goddess giving you tht is you ask for it to him/her.

Now why this?

Reason for this can be ( I say "can be" bcoz this is my understanding of Hinduism.. I could be wrong and apologize if any mistake committed.... or any body hurt.. as all religions are about love and motivation.. Hinduism is no exception to it) when you pray to that God, your thoughts and energy are focussed on tht particular wish or desire you have.. Science says as your more number of thoughts and energy are drawn towards a issue, probability of getting the solution enhances...

And Talking about the Physiological comfort... you feel you have asked the right man for the right problem so Solution is rest assured.... He is God dedicated for this particular Job....

Of course it is one God only... jus different images...

You can also see this when there is also Hierarchy in Gods... There is main God... who is suppose to take three forms,,, main one.. as

1. Creator

2. Sustainer

3. Destroyer...

And all other Gods are placed under them..

And no body feels inferior to other if your favorite deity is not the top most one.. thts Beautiful....

And it these Idols and Many Gods are not the destination of a Seeker...

It is through them one reaches God....

C2D hope this was convincing enough.....

Anything else You would like to know??

C2D.. Man you have some human instincts...

Afraid is not a Word I would use.. but Reluctant n hesitant to start another text riot on QL... yes...

I do believe in God...

m in Love with him...

I do not participate in many debates here actively as m neither Christian, Jew nor Muslim... m Hindu...

And the definition of God and the way to reach him is very Liberal n Diverse in Hinduism......

It is about loving God.... and appreciating his powers.... And the ultimate destination of a man is realize he too is GOD....

If m permitted to say.. we have Custom-made or tailored solutions for reaching God.... or to be more accurate feeling connected...

m not saying the one followed by other religions is wrong.. but it is different... I respect tht fact..

Every religion is as beautiful and as pure as mine is...

wht differs is understanding of the person you talking to...

Gravitation force shall be gravitation enough you look at it as earth sucking, calculate the force using a formula, call it love Soil has for you.. whtever...

But I would like to say - My way of Spiritualism is based on Logical reasoning.. at present.. and then going beyond...

I know God is beyond Logic... but to reach tht stage of reasoning..... and to internalize this truth... First I ll have to get saturated with logic and reach the dead end in the quest.... Then I shall be a Seeker of different level...

I do have the intention to convert all non believers and I am frank about it. In my eternal attempt in doing so, I have the following remarks to make:

1- I fully respect thier right of believe and I will only approach them when there is acceptance from them to discuss.

2- My attempt in convincing them, is from a human being to a human being. in other words, I am s sincere believer that they are decieved and should be guided. I hope thier appreciate the intention if even they think it is the other way round.

3- Regarding an earlier post to this thread, i don't agree that religion has no logic. I believe that believers has better logic than non believers. However, Logic is not the only criteria we need to use to prove the argument. We need to take care of the tools we use, how and to what apply them.

4- With regards to previous experiences regarding Greeks and Romans, this may have been a bad experience which caused some to not believe in God.

This is my intention and I am frank about it.

What is a soul? Describe one? What is the difference between a soul and conciseness, cognition or self awareness?

As for night and day - I trust there will be but I can not be 100% sure, no one can. Why one week? Why not one year, century, millennium, 1 million years, 1 billion years or 14 billion years? Can you answer that question - of course you can't be sure.

"Deaths in the Bible. God - 2,270,365

not including the victims of Noah's flood, Sodom and Gomorrah, or the

My concept of god is It is Intelligent Energy....

Energy of this Complete Universe....

As energy can neither be created not destroyed... It was always here.. it shall always remain....

And we too are a minute part of this energy... hence we too are God... everyone of us.. we do not know thts it...

You can see,,,, When you learn something it is not like some thing new to you.. you feel it was always there in you and it is now tht you are realizing it consciously....

My way of being spiritual is by understanding him and his powers logically...

I do very well know... God Is beyond Logic...

But to realize tht and to internalize tht....

Logic in me shall have to get tired... when Logic l give up... I ll be a seeker of different level.... Till then shall battle it out with Artillery I possess...

Science and Logic....

If I have x amount of Intelligence.. imagine the complete intelligence .... whose not even a pico part I am ( 10 ^ -12) .. how smart and strong tht shall be...

Ha ha ha...

In a Way I can agree with you..

Thing is "Hinduism" is a very broad term..

When you talk about freedom ... yes..

There are people who believe there is only one God... others say many...

There are many who say god has no shape... others personify him/her (GOD is not gender biased either)

Many believe in idol Worship others say it is Supreme power not piece of Stone...

Some say strictly Vegetarians... others eat saying its necessary...

And these all people call themselves Hindus...

Because they all hold a common Back bone of the Scriptures.. Vedas and upanishads...

As I told you... different interpretation leads too Different school of Philosophies.... And they all are true in a way....

It is what the realizer realized while his search for God......

And the diverse Worship too had a purpose and necessity...

If I could Take the discussion on scientific Base...

As we know understanding of different type of people is different....

Those who love to dance.. Say God is realized when you Dance...

The Singers say God is realized when you sing...

There is class of people who feel connected to God when they Sing devotional Song... They Are Idol Worshipers.

There are people who like to See God as super human... and worship him.. they too are correct...

There are few who love god us for the sake of loving.... they too are correct...as a true lover never asks anything in return....

And this can go on and on and on.....

Finally it is like.... In Hinduism...

If you want to be religious.. there is custom-made solution tailored for you......

Choose the one which suits you...

See by which you feel connected to god.. and stick to it..

You ll stick to it... because you like it... you chose it...

Having an Idea to love God and to be with God is Sufficient.... rest is taken care by her/him

I don't know much about Hinduism except that you find it easier to pick and choose what to believe, right?

Thus you can take the good and ditch the bad, absurd and unbelievable?

If this is so then I have little problem with it, and it sounds a lot more peaceful than the subscribers to the desert god.

All civilizations have God... had a prophet to tell people about God...

If God was a necessary invention... How come every civilization in the world ever born had a God???

Of course they where different experiences... Expressed in Different languages... and their experiences when the prophets shared with us became religions... and we the great sons n Daughters of these Prophets... Do not try to search for the essence of religion but fight for the existence of it...

Hey Adey.. thks a lot... And your doubts are Beautiful....

See I shall not comment anything on written in Muslim n Christian Religion.. Being a Hindu.. not even about Hindu Scriptures...

But shall point out one thing... even you ll agree to it..

Our Understanding of the religion is very much dependent on our understanding...

When I talk about religion.. it is not what is Hindu Religion.. it is What I have understood from Hindu Religion... How I took it..

And when I listen from someone..

the understanding gets cascaded.... First how she or he understood then what I understood from it...

And things can go really any where... :) you see tht...

When we talk about God.. the Definition is "all Merciful" " tolerant" "ever forgiving" "universally loving".. in every religion...

Can a person (personifying God for understanding...)who can be categorized in these words be ever contradicting??

Nice attitude :)

However I should point out a slight flaw in your argument:

you say "Those who believe,, are guided by(a belief in a) supreme power to do good...

What if the very tenants of that faith(via written scripture) are in conflict with doing good?

For example, homosexuals in Islam are required to be thrown off a mountain top. Under no stretch of the imagination is this a good deed, if one were to comply with this religious edict then one would not be doing good - quite the opposite. In Christianity there is no requirement to abolish slavery, in fact the Old Testament requires it and the New Testament says nothing about it's abolishment - so one could claim that slavery is ok with Christianity(and for a long time it was)- again this is in conflict with doing good.

we have developed our knowledge in science yet we are not able to find out whether God exists or not.

It is not that today the knowledge we have does not tell about HIM but it is that we dont bother about this fact. We do not want to think or want to know that God is there, bother to know why HE created us and what HE wants from us. Why HE bothered to send messangers, prophets and books to us for our own benefits.

We as human beings, have no knowledge about it at all. We did not know anything. All knowledge we got is from the God only, by a way or other. Man succeeded in making inventions and developing the life style but he could not succeed to know why he was born. That's why our God has sent HIS books to tell us about ourselves and about HIM and to tell us the purpose of this life.

If you read even the schience books about how the universe came into being and their different experients and conclusions, you will know the truth.

for you to believe that God exists.

From an e-mail, Untimely Deaths.

John Lennon: Some years before, during his interview with an American Magazine, he said: " Christianity will end, it will disappear. God was ok, but his subjects were too simple, today we are more famous than Him' (1966). Lennon, after saying that the Beatles were more famous than God, was shot six times.

Tancredo Neves** (President of Brazil ):* During the Presidential campaign, he said if he got 500,000 votes from his party, not even God would remove him from Presidency. Sure he got the votes, but he got sick a day before being made President, then he died.

The man who built the Titanic*After the construction of Titanic, a reporter asked him how safe the Titanic would be. With an ironic tone he said: “Not even God can sink it.” 'The result: I think you all know what happened to the Titanic.

Marilyn Monroe **(Actress)* She was visited by Billy Graham during a presentation of a show. He said the Spirit of God had sent him to preach to her. After hearing what the Preacher had to say, she said: 'I don't need your God'. A week later, she was found dead in her apartment.

Campinas** (IN 2005)*In Campinas , Brazil a group of friends, drunk, went to pick up a friend. The mother accompanied her to the car and was so worried about the drunkenness of her friends and she said to the daughter holding her hand, who was already seated in the car: 'My Daughter, Go With God And May He Protect You. 'She responded: 'Only If He (God) Travels In The Trunk, Cause Inside Here......It's Already Full 'Hours later, news came by that they had been involved in a fatal accident, everyone had died, the car could not be recognized what type of car it had been, but surprisingly, the trunk was intact. The police said there was no way the trunk could have remained intact. To their surprise, inside the trunk was a crate of eggs, none was broken.

For those who beleive in Paradise...I advise you to work hard for it, you already own a space there...so your main goal now is not to lose this space.

For those who can't wait to go to hell I say "Be careful what you wish for...for it might come true"

on Sept 11th, 2003, TWO YEARS AFTER THE TRAGEDIES OF 9/11/2001.

His name was Robert Matthews. These are his words:

A few weeks before Sept. 11th, my wife and I found out we were going to have our first child.. She planned a trip out to California to visit her sister. On our way to the airport, we prayed that God would grant my wife a safe trip and be with her. Shortly after I said 'amen,' we both

heard a loud pop and the car shook violently. We had blown out a tire. I replaced the tire as quickly as I c ould, but we still missed her flight. both very upset, we drove home.

I received a call from my father who was retired NYFD. He asked what my wife's flight number was, but I explained that we missed the flight.

My father informed me that her flight was the one that crashed into the southern tower. I was too shocked to speak. My father also had more news for me; he was going to help.. 'This is not something I can't just sit by for; I have to do something.'

I was concerned for his safety, of course, but more because he had never given his life to Christ. After a brief debate, I knew his mind was made up. Before he got off of the phone, he said, 'take good care of my grandchild. Those were the last words I ever heard my father say; he died while helping in the rescue effort.

My joy that my prayer of safety for my wife had been answered quickly became anger. I was angry at God, at my father, and at myself. I had gone for nearly two years blaming God for taking my father away. My son would never know his grandfather, my father had never accepted Christ, and I never got to say good-bye.

Then something happened. About two months ago, I was sitting at home with my wife and my son, when there was a knock on the door. I looked at my wife, but I could tell she wasn't expecting anyone. I opened the door to a couple with a small child.

The man looked at me and asked if my father's name was Jake Matthews. I t old him it was. He quickly grabbed my hand and said, 'I never got the chance to meet your father, but it is an honor to meet his son.'

He explained to me that his wife had worked in the World Trade Center and had been caught inside after the attack. She was pregnant and had been caught under debris. He then explained that my father had been the one to find his wife and free her. My eyes welled up with tears as I thought of my father giving his life for people like this. He then said, 'there is something else you need to know.'

His wife then told me that as my father worked to free her, she talked to him and led him to Christ. I began sobbing at the news.

Now I know that when I get to Heaven, my father will be standing beside Jesus to welcome me, and that this family would be able to thank him themselves .

When their baby boy was born, they named him Jacob Matthew, in honor of the man who gave his life so that a mother and baby could live.

This story should help us to realize this: God is always in control..

We may not see the reason behind things, and we may never know this side of heaven, but God is ALWAYS in control.

Please take time to share this amazing story. You may never know the impact it may have on someone. God doesn't call the qualified, He qualifies the called

TANDAAN: "SA BAWAT BAGAY NA IYONG GINAGAWA, BASTA'T IKAW AY NASA TAMA, IKAW AY IPAGPAPALA.. . KAHIT ANUNG DUMI ANG SA IYO AY IPUKOL, SA BANDANG HULI IKAW PA RIN ANG COOL" DA BAH?!!!

Pikey...

it is a combination of things...physical evidence, intuition, logic, experience, historical facts...

Sometimes you may not have physical evidence but you know what is wrong and what is right...

it is so many things coming together..

as anexample, if life started by evolution, what gives each creation its own shape!! just an example out of many.

By baldrick2dogs• 23 Apr 2009 11:38

I don't base my argument on anything. I'm not even arguing, merely stating a point of view.

By Pikey• 23 Apr 2009 11:32
Pikey

So Mr Religious you purely base your argument on religious belief without physically evidences right?

By CuriousButDetermined• 23 Apr 2009 11:30
CuriousButDetermined

So Mr. Evolutionist, you purely base your argument in science..and more specifically proven evidences..right?

By CuriousButDetermined• 23 Apr 2009 11:28
CuriousButDetermined

i noticed I have a new name now..Creationist..lol sounds cool..I will call you Evolutionists if it is not offensive (I am not sure if it is)..

We really need to get this straightened out...

Are we are all wrong or are we all right or is it one and only one of us right?

Ofcourse the answer does not jeopardise our coexistence.

when I say we, I mean believers in God without specifying a religion.

By baldrick2dogs• 23 Apr 2009 11:28

There is a big debate amongst schools as to how to explain the origins of man and the universe. Creationism and Evolution / Big Bang are the two opposing sides.

Call me what you want, I don't give a sh!t :o)

a fair number of "believers" are surely going to hell before many of the atheists i've met.

i've met plenty of "believers" who pray five times a day, or who pray in church each and every sunday, who treat people like rubbish whenever they are not praying. an a$$ is an a$$, praying doesn't change that.

religion should be about internalizing values, not going through the motions. God, if he exists, surely knows the difference.

Seriously VB, do you really think threatening non-believers with Hell is going to work?

Think about it:

1) if they believe in another religion then, same as you, they are taught that there way is the right way and everyone else is going to hell, so why would they switch? There's no evidence or way of knowing for sure who's right and who's wrong, and you could be just as wrong as they are.

2) if they don't believe in anything then they don't believe in Hell at all and your threat is just plain silly and laughable. Not only that, but they already know about the Hell threat and have decided that they don't care.

So really what's the point?

you have elaborated my statement, I didn't said ONLY in my comment.....All those who were judged guilty, culprits, hyprocrites, offenders will also share the space.......Please note it is not me who is judging....

Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

[Fatihah 1:1] All praise is to Allah, the Lord Of The Creation.

[Fatihah 1:2] The Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

"[Fatihah 1:3] Owner of the Day of Recompense"

[Fatihah 1:4] You alone we worship and from You alone we seek help (and may we always).

[Fatihah 1:5] Guide us on the Straight Path.

[Fatihah 1:6] The path of those whom You have favoured -

[Fatihah 1:7] Not the path of those who earned Your anger - nor of those who are astray.

VB, I find it very sad that there are people out there that believe that the only purpose of people who think differently then them is to "fill the stomach of Hell."

No wonder there's so much violence in the world today if we are taught that!

Three friends die in a car crash, and they find themselves at the Gates of Heaven. Before entering, they are each asked a question by the angel in charge. "When you are in your casket and friends and family are mourning upon you, what would you like to hear them say about you?" asks the angel.

The first guy says, "I would like to hear them say that I was a great doctor and a great family man."

The second guy says, "I would like to hear that I was a wonderful husband and school teacher who made a huge difference in our children's lives."

The last guy replies. "I would like to hear them say.... LOOK!!! HE'S MOVING!!!!!"

When i first saw the name of this forum on the home page side bar i thought to myself....who is suicidal enough to post that question on this site? (since everytime the mere thought of anything religious or about god appears people start geting allergies and rashes and get defensive and cynical)

When i saw it was u , dentist i sort of heaved a sigh of relief...dunno why ....

I thought it was a really cool thought provoking story.....(some people are probably rolling their eyes now).

Why is it that people tense up when the subject of religion or god for that matter comes up.......why can't we deal with issues logically......debate ,research and finally make up our own minds as to what to believe or disbelieve..?.lili.

The Pope was getting ready to travel in his Popemobile. His driver had loaded all his bags and they were ready to go when the Pope says "Can I drive? I've been a passenger for too long and want a go at driving". The driver is a bit shocked but feels he can't really argue so he hands over the keys and gets in the back of the car.

Off they go, the Pope flooring it and burning off down the highway. After about 10 minutes of high speed travel a policeman pulls them over.

With a shocked look on his face he stares into the drivers window and then gets on his radio to speak to his commander.

"Chief I have a problem here" he says. "I've stoped someone really important".

"Who? The Mayor?" says the cheif.

"No more importnat".

"The President?".

"No more important".

"Well who is it then?" asks the cheif

"I dunno" says the policeman "but the Pope's his driver!"

Just thought I'd add to this silliness!
