Do you watch more films or less in Ramadan?

Now that Ramadan has started I'm wondering how your movie watching habits change in the Holy month.

Do you go to the cinema more often? Less often? Do you watch more DVDs at home with your family and/or friends? Or do movies take a back seat to everything else that happens during Ramadan?

no major banner movies get released during the month of Ramadan;

In fact all distributors wait for Eid holidays to release NEW movies.

WHY?....

bcoz all major Satans got locked and imprisoned by Allah during this month and get released as Ramadan got over.

by fasting, praying, giving alms to the needy and respecting your fellow brothers during this holy month of ramadan.

instead of paying 30 riyals for a movie ticket, why not donate to your favorite charity?

in deed we should benefit from each day and moment of these holy days of Ramadan. the prayer in Ramadan is 70 times in others.

and at the last ten day, there's a night worths 1000 months, which is around 83 years of work.

therefore; in Ramadan Muslims should focus more using their time properly.

I watch less in Ramadan, but I have to admit I'm not a movie goer in general and it kills me to watch a movie on a DVD. It has to come natural..:)

I don't go to the cinema during Ramadan.

well, unless they'll bring inglorious bastards or district 9 to the screens here( i'll re-consider) ;)

Honestly, there isn't much time. By the time Tarweeh finishes it's already 9.

Whenever i have spare time, i watch tv-series. Those days the best 1's are True blood (season 2) & Weeds (season 5).

Well i don't see any harm in movies, but yes, at least during Ramadan, all Muslims should put forward their precious time for Prayers and Quran, as Movies gain you no deeds, but Quran and Prayers do, infact, they gain you more deeds during Ramadan, way more.

I don't watch movies at all during Ramadan. I try and spend this month in worship. Ramadan comes only once a year so I try and get as many blessings as possible.

Interesting....read below...

Cell phone vs Quran

Ever wonder what would happen if we treated our Quran like we treat

Our cell phone?

What if we carried it around in our purses or pockets?

What if we flipped through it several time a day?

What if we turned back to go get it if we forgot it?

What if we used it to receive messages from the text?

What if we treated it like we couldn't live without it?

What if we gave it to kids as gifts?

What if we used it when we traveled?

What if we used it in case of emergency?

This is something to make you go....hmm...where is my Quran?

Oh, and one more thing.

Unlike our cell phone, we don't have to worry about our Quran being disconnected

Makes you stop and think 'where are my priorities? And no dropped calls!

Trust in YOUR Lord and *ASAP (Always Say A Prayer)
