disrespect of abbaya
By mohammad.qatar •
this is regarding the way girls are dressing up these days. i see girls wearing abbya but still one can see what they have worn under their abbaya like they open the abbaya from the fron so that all their jeanse visible. some have not even covered their head properly. my point is if they want to show themselves then they should not be disrespecting abbaya as its meant to cover a woman not to expose.
Adey is right...some very narrow-minded posts. There's many different ways to swing a cat. There's many different ways to wear an abaya. To each her own.
Mr/Mrs. Mohammad, since you indirectly called me stupid could you please enlighten this idiot/sinner with your wisdom? I am having a hard time with your "food for tought".
Thanks!
Oh, do wear one MT, you will get so many compliments!
Mandi

i knew u wont read TB as ur an expert in CP go KFC on weekends start from today :)
I just came back from KFC.... most disappointing. No talent at all.

Is your gift offer limited:D
yeah if u want i can gift u one !
Awwww thanks guys :D
You have all given me the vote of confidence to try it
Missteacher: no you won't offend anyone. I see lots of non-Muslim women wearing it and they looked just as elegant and stunning as ever!
Not at all MT !
Give it a 'Go' and i m sure u not gonna repent ! :)
So see you at Souq Waqif then.....:)
I dont know what im scared of lol just nervous id be disrespecting them as im not muslim?:S

I have no idea what the OP is on about .But those Souq galie gals are adorable and lovely aaaaaaaah!
That stilista figure Abaya with the high heels on aaaah! Melts my heart ^_^
Exactly !
Go for it MT, dont care a damn..trust us, everyone will praise you but make sure u wear a hijab too along with the abaya....:)
You shouldn't be scared,girl...go for it! The other day I saw this Chinese girl wearing an abayah in the souq and not only looked lovely, but was openly praised by an Arab lady as well.
Scared of what ?
I have an abaya my friend gave me and I really want to wear it to somewhere like souq waqif, but im too scared!
I think they look fantastic. I wish I could pull off an abaya like that. :)
Mmmmm..... food
thanks all. only intelligent people got what my point was. it was a food for thought.
mrs. mohammad
Mohammad or Mrs. Mohammad:
Are you saying that those who don't wear abbayas should not be called muslims?
Hmmmmmmmmmmmm..........
and narrow-minded thread this turned out to be.
Lots of busy-bodying, controling, authurotrian and quasi-facist comments by some posters.
I truly despair sometimes
is everyone talking about? i need to check it out, for research reasons only!
Yes miss
TB..NO. Go TO BED, NOW !
:P
Mmmmmmm.... KFC ;)
The abayah is merely a garment and a garment per se is not to be respected or disrespected. Not everyone wears the abayah for religious reasons. Some wear them as a part of their culture. And many non Muslims wear abayah as well for various reasons like the fact that it's quite an elegant dress. Hence obviously such ladies will not be wearing the abayah in accordance to the Islamic code of dressing. If you know personally any lady who wishes to wear abayah for Islamic reasons, and is wearing it the way you say, then try to advice them with proof from the Quran and Sunnah. If they take your advice,AlHamdullilah, if not Qadar Allah masha fa'l. Remember the words of Allah: " He who obeys the Messenger (Muhammad ), has indeed obeyed Allah, but he who turns away, then we have not sent you (O Muhammad ) as a watcher over them" (Surah An Nisa ayah 80).
miss T said it all.... plenty of these broads walking around opened up .. i mean whats the point of wearing it if u pretty knw darn well you gon be showing stuff which is pretty much unislamic
why some of you taking it seriously, are u having fun yet? :(
khannan.. ok, im outta here..
BG is all yours ... have fun :D
dont wana go more personal khanan it might become a personal attack and even u might feel bad abt it
Baburao.. i have better suggestion for you.. im sorry if OP reminded some of your old memories.. and you like to cry about it.. why not go hide you ur ugly face under the pillow and cry your a** off.. instead of crying here in public
Coz now, you are even losing that little sense you managed to make in your earlier comments.. :D
Avoid personal insults.
BG : whats with the kfc ?
and what do you wear usually mohammad.qatar
Is that respectful or not?
ur against this trend or fashion - u like to stare / me not
i m supporting it - its their family members supporting it, for eg : the ones coming at KFC
baburao.. im against this kind of trend or fashion.. you are the one supporting it.. :D
and i know you cant be a man at least try to be a human and make some sense
captains as i said u r the ones on that list whom i pity u need to be a Man :)
Captain, sshh.. i will tell you in person today, what i saw.. ;)
Khaalllas i have to delete this thread, Leave guys now,
Some girls wear the abaya as there family expect and want them too...when really they would rather not.
I always see Muslim girls at souq waqif especially with big hair at the front that you can see and their abayas open up to their waist.
I think the abaya is very elegant but it can draw attention to men just as much as a woman in jeans and a top can, particularly western men, as I have male colleagues who are always curious and look closer to see what the Muslim girls are wearing.
Ingeniero.. you must have seen a superman .. LOL
hahaha... what??
were you really trying to make sense in that comment, or you just typed it while wiping your tears off ?? :'(
Captain, I saw one, wearing Abaya on the bikini..
yeah dude u need to go there u might want to become a real captain ( a real man ) after getting lost :)
Now .. i really want to go there.. to check those chicks at that chicken restaurant .. ;)
wanna join me this weekend... oh im sorry i forgot, you already spend your weekend there.. no life as i see ..haha
no i pity those Men whose ladies are at KFC good for nothing MEN
baburao..why are you defending them then?? are you one of those "failed men"?? ROFL
I believe that both men and women are responsible to develop goods in a society. Both should play their role equally or there will be an imbalance. Abayas worn just for fashion is the women's choice at the expense of men's agreement.
Once both realise their obligations, society can be saved from such immoral practices.
Those shameless hussies! :P
if the Man at home has set his rules neither of this will happen as the OP has stated
"open the abbaya from the fron so that all their jeanse visible. some have not even covered their head properly."
listen looser from start of this thread i never mentioned i stare either they wear a full abaya , a semi abaya or a bikini n i dont blame such ladies as the Men at their home fail to do their part
LOL.. baurao.. you actually did not only stared at those girls but ALSO heard what language they were speaking?? such a despo.. get a life man !! haha
captain i answered u already check b4 ur comment
babu..u strikes again... :p
baburao.. is it me who wrote this comment??
"leave my brain i think u need to vist matar KFC on WEEKENDS n u will know nationality r famous in doing this ( disrespecting of abaya's )"
ooops its ok sumtimes monkey sumtimes extremist :) its the truth wat this money speaks :)
captain i never mentioned like u that i stare , and i dint know staring had that much power to recognize nationalities but language can make a matter .
Baburao.. well i dont eat KFC obviousl u do and now that you have mentioned...its very much clear how you stare at those ladies that you even recognized their nationalities.. what is it.. reveal the secret please !! :P
.
leave my brain i think u need to vist matar KFC on WEEKENDS n u will know nationality r famous in doing this ( disrespecting of abaya's )
Well i guess .. baburaos brain is just too tiny to understand the logic/concern OP is trying to make here...
May be coz ..he wears a tight abaya himself with thick pink lipstick all over his face
Captain_Lost said ...
OP raised a general concern .. that girls here in qatar disrespect abaya by wearing it in a very indecent way... either wearing it too tight, or keeping it open while wearing skirts, jeans or tights inside..
the ladies wearing this are permitted from home i guess its the parents or the men in their family to let them wear such stuff , later the lady is to be blamed
To each his own. Ignore them. Abayas are worn for a reason, yet some (as the poster says) use them for the opposite purpose. Is this any different from being allowed to wear shorts and then coming out in spandex ones :o)
Men are a curious species, they want to peep at anything and everything even if the cracks or openings are not wide enough
the trend of fashion is what changing the abbaya look like, all i know its supposed to be plain black without any design or embroidery and it must be loose not shaped like the body of the one who is wearing....
mohammad.qatar's profile says: manager, Canada, 26-35, Male
And then he/she said he/she's a woman. So confusing.
ROFL.. baburao.. OP raised a general concern .. that girls here in qatar disrespect abaya by wearing it in a very indecent way... either wearing it too tight, or keeping it open while wearing skirts, jeans or tights inside..
Question is.. Why are you wearing abaya, if you want to show your body/clothes?
A girl in bikini.. nothing wrong with it, coz generally you'd see them on beaches or swimming pools or other specific areas.. and you wont see them wearing a bikni and abaya on top of it..
CW sorry but i m not the OP or Captain Lost
and its the men who allow this - the father, the brother , the husband they r all the culprit
you would do the same Baburao cause that's what do they call " natural disposition "
Lol BG!
They are free !
you are supposed to lower your gaze isnt it?
atheist r confused ppl i like them
u like to peep at ppl as the OP does
Biriyani for atheists.
LOL CW....
Babu.. what point?? enlighten us with your knowledge please !!
CW ur so intelligent :)
and definitely he will ask for her number :P
u cleared my point u will stare instead u have to ignore
Just turn your head and look away. Like a normal person, instead of trying to stare inside.
In my own opinion there is nothing special or sacred about the abaya. The abaya is a piece of cloth.
What you need to do is respect the person for her own choices. It's not for you to judge others. We can leave that up to God to do.
Babu.. Yes i will .. Whats your point in it??
oh dear ! its time for u to go home :)
i totally agree with the Op...
LIB... dont laugh.. you are hurting me more :P
oh dear, here we go agian......:(
captain if u see a lady in bikini what will u do stare at her
Canada??? You're from Canada? I usually find Canadians much more tolerant of others' choices. By the way, I absolutely believe in a woman's right to wear full hijab and even a niqab anywhere in the world because I do NOT like the idea of men making fashion choices for women.
Mandi
AGREE !
but can we do anything to it ? NO !
coz of the Generation Y,z etc...:(
CL can't stop laughing :D
Babu.. if you follow Islam.. what does it say about abayas or covering body??
Its a bad trend so called fashion here .. cannot be justified by any mean.. and please lets not bring religion in it
its not about looking deep . its about the way people disrespecting something which is meant for respect.
BUT men are men they will look even if there is abaya or not...That's why we muslimas are so privileged that purdah is compulsory for us :))
human nature ?? if u follow Islam what does it say ??
LIB.. still your gujiyas were not delicious :P
dont u look deep inside. if u are a male u will unconcsiously look . thats human nature
Rizks and babu.. its not about peeping or looking deep inside .. its just so obvious, they wear it for the purpose to show their body and not cover it all.... may be they just wear abaya for the sake of culture and norms
Agree LIB, these day ladies wear so tight abayaz tat just a touch of a sharp blade is enough to tear the whole abaya...:(
Tats fashion for them these days ! :(
Sad but tats the Truth.
CL see mine and your thinking same :P
exactly ...
still my question is same, why do you look so deep inside what she is wearing ?
LOL rizks...but there is a point...Some ladies either wear it just for the sake of it or they are not aware of its purpose...Abaya is meant to cover the whole body and it should not be too tight to reveal one's figure..
I agree with the OP.. Abaya is meant to cover your body and not trying to seduce men by partially showing your body from inside abaya and wearing it extremely tight that it shows all your curves.. Wear it properly, or DONT wear it at all
for your kind information im a woman too. thanks
first of all u need to respect the ladies instead of peeping all the way to see what their wear inside the abaya
and why do u look so deep inside wat she is wearing ?
