Difference b/w North & South Indian Movies

WK...Nobody in India would call Maharastrians as South Indian...would they?

While people in MP are referred to as North Indians although they are in "Central" India.

i believe a south indian movie is not complete unless the hero has a moustache which hides atleast half of his face..

Actually you should replace Maharashtra with MP for the above statements to be true. But I guess you are just so slightly biased ;)

Not true at all....on two counts...

1. There are a lot of hindi movies that have "group" background dancers....of late they are using a lot of "white people"...mostly Russian...dont know why they dont use Indian background dancers.

Then there are beautiful romantic songs done at beautiful locations in mallu movies with only the lead pair.

2. As WK pointed out South begins below Maharashtra and north too begins above Maharashtra.

Anything (Gujrat) to the west of Maharashtra is West. Anything to the East of Maharashtra is East.

So most important state of India is ....MAHARASHTRA :)

Geographically yes but as per the recognized zones, Andhra, Karnataka, TN, Kerala form South, Maharashtra, Goa, Gujarat are west. MP is central, Bihar and everything from there on towards east is East and everything up north is North.

Rajasthan is a tricky one, counted among West, Central or North at different times.

I always hear about Purab-Paschim (East-West)....

Not about Uttar (south) and Dakshin (North)
