Diet Centre-not so great

ESL Teacher

So I decided to finally hook-up with the diet centre and oh my gooodness what a mistake.  The food is awful.  Forget about being a HUGE waste of money, after the first week I really want to stop this horrible tasting food from coming to my door.

Really their desserts are awsome!  I wish I would have just ordered their sweets instead of their entire meal plan.

I couple of my colleagues had joined previously as well, but they gained their weight back within 2 weeks  to a month of stopping at the diet centre.

2. Worring whether your sponcer will cancel your RP and send you back home.

oh ESL teacher... if you like the salads and dont enjoy the "weird ethnic food" i have no sympathy for you. i thought the lunches in particular were fabulous, and enjoyed the spices. it was the salads that got boring.

but they do give you choices, just stick with the Western option if you dont like the spice. try the chicken parmiagana on fettucine, mmm.

Hamlet i think you are absolutely spot on ;-) thats what i'm going to do next!! think i'll start in March.

time for a kit kat now though. ha!

I agree with hamlet and charmed... I have a similar story to charmed's. if i put on a couple of pounds I just cut back for a couple of days.

Anyway subway make nice salads.

Save your money from the diet centre because when you lose the weight you will need a heap of new clothes and have to buy all the ones you didn't fit into before.... then you need to buy the matching shoes.... then another wardrobe to put them in!

Also good ways to lose weight:

a) falling in love big time

b) getting totally heart broken.

c) contracting malaria

Anyone else got some diet top tips?

is so right. When i want to lose weight i just lose it! And its hard! i went from a size 16-18 down to a size 8-10, purely through dieting. Why waste money on some centre when you can do it yourself! It takes ten minute to make a soup or a salad which is healthy low fat eating!! I lost the weight and kept it off, im now size ten still when i start putting on the weight i just cut back a little bit - its will power! But then i bet half the people who are at the diet centre dont need to lose the weight!! love yourself as you are!

Steam your vegetables and rice

Grill your meat

No sugary juices

Drink skimmed milk

Eat loads of vegetables and fruits

Eat six meals a day, DONT starve yourself

Exercise, exercise, exercise

It is that simple, tried and tested, no need for diet centers or anything bizarre

Trust me

lol, I don't dislike the food because it is "healthy" ie. broccoli and such. I HATE the way it is spiced and flavoured. I love their simple stuff like salads, but I DO NOT like their weird ethnic stuff.

Why do I have to endure strange spices? They should make just normal food that is not so strongly spiced with anis seeds and whatever other things. I am perfectly fine with bland--or for goodness sakes even tasteless food is better than what they have going on.

ummm... i dont mean to sound harsh... but ever heard of the saying... "no pain - no gain".. u gotta suffer to get the results u want... like my wise bro once told me.. the ends justify the means... and like my mum used to tell me when she tried to force me to eat yucky broccoli... "all food thats good for you tastes like crap"... but you have to endure it to stay healthy...

and having a fetish for sweets... thats a problem... you gotta control your sweet tooth for satisfactory results.. if everyones gna eat chocolate all day and expect to stay fit.. then we'll all be super models by now...

and your colleagues... hummm.. wat can i say... i think THEY have the problem here... not diet centre.... putting the weight back on in 2 weeks says that they need to cut down on the amount of junk they're stuffing down their throats.. losing weight takes dedication and self control... not catered meals... they need to keep that in mind.. i know plenty of ppl who've lost tons of weight on diet centre meals.. and now a year on they've kept the weight off coz they kept eating small healthy portions and exercised regularly...

but wat do i know... im naturally skinny :p

Oh no you hate it? aah thats terrible. I thought the food was good, for the first month anyway then I got a bit bored of all the salads.

and yes i put my weight back on as well. i had forgotten how good full-fat, oily food tastes.

oops.

well i hope you find some food on it that you like, or at least that it works for you. maybe you can sell the remainder to someone else and just change the address for the delivery.
