Death sentence for an Indian cannibal
A special CBI court in Ghaziabad has pronounced death sentence for Nithari case convicts Moninder Singh Pandher and Surendra Koli.
Pronouncing the sentence, Special Judge Rama Jain held that their crime fell in the "rarest of rare" category deserving capital punishment.
The sentencing took place a day after they were convicted in the murder of a 14-year-old girl Rimpa Haldar. The two have been found guilty of rape, murder and conspiracy.
Pandher broke down on hearing the verdict and started weeping. The judgment came despite the CBI giving Pandher a clean chit.
They had gone to the extent of stating that he was not even in India at the time of the murder. But the judge hearing the case decided to frame charges against Pandher independently and subsequently found him guilty as well.
There have also been questions on the mental state of Surender Koli, who worked in Pandher's house. Koli has been accused of cannibalism in this case.
PTI adds:
Earlier, the CBI sought death penalty for Nithari serial killings case convict Surinder Koli while leaving it to the court the quantum of punishment for businessman Moninder Singh Pandher in the rape and murder of a 14-year-old girl.
The special CBI court had on Thursday found the duo guilty on the charges of rape and murder in the gruesome killing of Rimpa Halder, first of the 19 Nithari victims.
During the half-hour long final arguments before the pronouncement of quantum of sentence by judge Rama Jain, agency's counsel S P Ahluwalia termed the killings by Koli as "rarest of rare" and a fit case for capital punishment.
The CBI counsel argued that Koli has no right to live in society because even today he has no remorse of his deeds. "He continues to be a threat to the society," Ahluwalia said.
The counsel submitted that Koli is a rare combination of a person indulging in paedophilia (having sex with children) and necrophilia (having sex with corpse) and there are no chances of his becoming reformed and rehabilitated.
Ahluwalia said Koli used to lure innocent women and children to the house of his employer Pandher before killing them and later having sex with their bodies. In some cases, he used to cook and eat their flesh, the counsel said.

Even though CBI gave cleanchit to Pandher but 19 murder happend in his kothi and he dont know how it is? Koli is second first charge is to be on Pandher only.
They were involved in Blackmagic Rituals...usually hand in glove with top policemen & Politicans
"CBI gave Pandher a clean chit" ...Why?
Kholi admitted to being a cannibal (He could nt eat the meat in front of the police.) to comaflage the involvement of the politicians & bigwigs with blackmagic.
Same was the case with Nun Abhaya's murder.
2 thumbs up for this kind of creature!
all the wild atittude they have.no wonder because a lot of them here in doha showing for what they are!**** creature......
how he could prove to be innocent.....I read in newspapers that CBI have tried the level best to save him BUT the justice prevailed.
what about double life sentence
If there is any other punishment cruel than this court has to give this dirty people
OK, Koli, I can understand getting the death penalty, but Pandher was cleared by the CBI, so how ca the judge over ride them ?
