Price rise mainly bcoz of increase of rent

one of the main drivers of the price increments that are occurring here in Doha is due to the QAR being pegged to the USD. with the USD losing value at the rate it is I wouldn't be surprised if the prices continued to soar the way they are for some time now.

I say de-peg the QAR from the USD.

It is due to the rise in rent of accommodation. As their is lot of expatriate working so the price of commodity is affected by the rise in labour cost becuase any mall or shopping centre to cover its employee's cost it add the cost to the product to increase it profit margin, So that is the reason for the price rise. Simple example is the chicken now available at QR10/- is now costing QR 15/- becuase the sponser who has appointed the man to sell the chicken is costing him more as he has to pay more rent for his accommodation as well as the shop where he is selling so he included that cost to the price of the chicken.
