Customs Duty for Used Household Item

Hi All,

Recently I moved from Dubai to Doha and I want to bring all my used household items(Kitchens utensils,Grinder,Microwave,Clothes, toys,baby cycle,TV, Music System etc) arround 300 KG.I need help regarding the custom duty rules in Doha.If there is any customs duty to be charged on the above items?If somebody help me clearing the items here in Doha.

just declare it less than the commercial value my friend and you will only pay less duties. you should contact a local brokerage company to clear it for you to avoid headache, you will just pay a minimal fee for it...

okay ---to be list major item ----not need list cd names. but to be better ---- 1. number the box 2. on list -- the item should correspond box label or number. (this to be make easy for official to check). ask friend to unpack and roughly make proper list. all this is to be called personal affects.

Thanks for your help.The items have already been packed and kept in one of my friend place.I am already in Qatar.Whether I need to list down all the item and their prices or no problem if I forget to list some items.Becasue it is very difficult for me to list down all the items, for this I have to open the boxes and list down and then repack the boxes.Or I need to list down all the main items only, I mean can I listdown as following :-

TV, Music Systems, Microwave,Clothes,Toys, Kitchens Utensil, Some CDs(Cinema, MP3 etc).

Pls help.

i can to say only by road not air. you to be have document a list of items---- also price of each item ---- rough estimate. yes saudi border may open box but not worry they to be have screening. if company to be bring all item by land ---- better.

Hi

Thanks for your quick response.But I came to know that if it come by land it has to come thru Saudi, and there the custom personnel open the boxes and see all the items.I don't know whether it is tru or false.Also I want to know if I bring by air cargo then whether I have to pay the duty here in Qatar? and what are the document require for shiiping by Air as well as by Road.

no custom duty for all this by land freight, if used item. duty only on car.
