Customer Service in Al Ahli Bank
Hi Everyone,
My husband and myself had faced such bad customer service in Al Ahli Bank based on Al Mirqab street. This guy called [name removed by mod] was very rude and did not have any kind of courtesy to apologize after committing a mistake. On top of that, he was having a good laugh!
Incident:
We went there to redeem our money from My Hassad which has been for over 1 year with no result. [name removed] was not all agreeing to help us out as 'he' felt that we could win if we kept it for a longer time,which was none of his concern!Anyways, i managed to convince him that i want to redeem my money in any case as i would rather invest it elsewhere. He made us wait for 10 mints. We thought the manager was leaving that bank, so my husband politely asked [name removed] bout it. He gave us such a rude reply by telling my husband to relax and giggled with his other lady colleagues!Then he told us to go to the last counter pointing his finger to a lady. When we went there, that lady was totally unaware why we went to her. She had the courtesy to take us back to [name removed]. [name removed] then showed a very irritated face and told us that we should have gone to [name removed]!
Question: How am i supposed to know who is [name removed]?
Without wasting a minute, i told him,'Are we supposed to know your staff name'?
[name removed] just ignored me like that question was not meant for him!I kept my cool.
Since it was around 1:10 in the noon, the guard was putting the shutters down. [name removed] was making fun in a very ugly way saying'You cannot go out now'.He kept saying this but i ignored and then i told him that 'I am not leaving without my money'.
However, we finally got the money and i told my husband, i am very soon going to close my account!
The point is that i am working in the same field and i know what it is to serve customers. How much ever the customers loose their patience, yet we got to keep our cool. Only then, our customers would love to come back to us again.
Me too had a bad experience in Al Ahli, i wanted to withdraw my money invested in that same scheme and was told to wait for a month to clear my credit cards, i waited and come back after a month or so and when the day i came back the one that said i come back after a month, happened to be in vacation, and as i waited my number in c ustomer service, at last my number in waiting appeared, but the guy i supposed to go thru, called someone a lady who maybe have reservation number privately to ignor my turn, i ask if the lady had a number, and the guy in customer service said, can you wait for a whille, i will just finish her, even the security who happened to see me there waited almost an hour told the guy, i have a number, i don't want to be rude, but i said, can i wait then here, at he opposite chair where the lady seated. And there finally the lady just stand up and go. I criticize the action of the lady not only the guy in customer service because she should have take permission to me or even did not take my turn for the guy. So in rediculed, i really ask if there is a private reservation for customers. I understand how mlasrado felt, that guy, deserved to be named and reported to the manager for disciplinary measures. Me too if i've known the name of that guy, i will name him too, . Oh that's not all, when he finally turned his face to me, he was very rude to ask what do i want, i told him what the lady told me that my credit card should be cleared in a month and i can redeem my money, this guy, in an insulting tone told me, you come after two months, its not yet clear. I insisted to see in the computer if at this long of waiting haven't cleared my credit cards which i never used, and i even asked many times by phone how long will i t take to clear credit card, and they told me, just two weeks and i passed morethan a month. I was not able to get my money by that day. I went back in few days and luckily, the lady was there and she said it should be cleared already by this time but it was in their negligence that it was not clear. The lady customer service was apologitic and served me a tea and did at that time. Because of that, i decided to close my account.

i also had same experience with the same bank but with different scenario. I will not mention anymore the branch...
3 mos ago... Im asked them about the car loans procedures but it seems nobody in that branch knows about it. I asked different personnel there & their advices are different from one another which made me more confused. Too bad that the bank manager was on vacation that time.
I think banks should trained their staff or their customer service staff more about its bank services / promos so that if somebody will ask about it they know how to explained it more & to avoid confusions!

I recently opened an account with them... btw don't judge the bank because you experienced maltreatment from one employee alone.

Al Ahli Bank....another one with 5 Star (5 Rats) Rating...lol
She is right about the behaviour of those sssh0les coz I am also a customer of that branch & have been to such incident from them long time back. That's why I opened an another account in Doha bank.
The reality is that you can' t be heard if you go to top coz these buggers are same, all the way up.
You should learn how to (4 letter word) them in their face. Fittest survive :)
i only thing i want to know is the person's name so that i can go and meet him face to face and see how he behaves with me. i thought the worst customer service was for Qatar Islamic Bank Old Airport Branch only........... this bank takes the cake..................
i say she was right in publishing those idiots names..its her money and she should be able to take it ne time she wants...
it is absolutely a wrong practice to mention someone's name in public forums
