Cradle of Romhoa - Part 1

China Syndrome
By China Syndrome

Long, long time ago, arenas of amusement and entertainment were spread throughout the land.

Here, in these places of social gatherings, the Q-uakers, L-uddites, S-ocialites and G-ladiators would group together to see the common misfits of society enter into the arena for the slim chance of gaining their freedom, and to be accepted into the elite club of the free revelers of upper society.

Jesters and clowns would enter first and entertain the crowds, these were called Clowncharanmarites. They were silly creatures, usually mentally impaired and made fools of themselves, but they made the audience laugh. They were cute, and the crowd liked them, so they were welcome and were present at all the gatherings.

Soon it would be the time for what everybody came for - the 'the road to acceptance'.
However, the upper society would resent these social outcasts, they would spit upon them, throw tomatoes, jeer and curse, for they were the elite, and able to do this.

LET THE GAMES BEGIN

The gates opened for the main event, a criminal called Asirf77us was dragged in and ruthlessly slaughtered immediately, no quarter taken!!! For his misdeeds were unforgivable ........ he slated a Council member, and by doing this, signed his own death warrant.

Then entered Spastrattycus and Syndromacus, fighters for the common man for they were strong, they kept their cool relying on stealth and knowledge - for they were scribes.

They take on the Gladiators, a blow here, a jibe there and the Council Members are taken by surprise 'who are these upstarts who dare to question the regime'? They fought like lions, for they were proud men.

A lady (lets call her Lexcelcior) started chanting from the plebs seats 'Rejects out, Rejects out' soon a Mexican wave of deafening chanting socialites rang out "Rejects out, Rejects out', the crowd were warming up.

After a long battle, CeaseRuDe has seen enough. He stands up, and with a single wave of the hand, the crowd are silenced.

A long tense period of silence follows, then behind the scenes politics kick in, Queen BeeZi cups her hand and whispers into CeaseRuDe's ear.

A few more moments of silence lapse.

Then the Council Memebers burst simultaneously into an explosion of euphoria ........ for the thumb is down for Sparstrattycus and he is bannished.

As for Syndromacus, he lives to try another day - but for how long.
Will he learn to take the cursing, barracking and rudeness from the elite and succumb - or will he stand his ground, knowing that for him the same behavior is unacceptable, and he will be silenced one day.

This was a bad day for CeasaRuDe and his Council, true colours were shown. All were sworn to silence and the arena was closed down.

And so it came to pass that many threaded pages of history were removed forever.

From the confines of Syndromacus's humble abode, he could still here the chants in the distance and over the wall, of the Council Members partaking in collective revelry. The chants were faint, but clear - 'Hail Ceasar, Hail Ceasar' for he was the one to make it all happen.

Epilogue

This story from many moons ago in a far off land was triggered by the settlement of travelers a long way from home, and the development of new communities. Most were foreigners to the new land, very few were indigenous.

Today, we wonder if, in the name of 'freedom of speech', impartiality and fairness and all we fought and stand for, that the missing pages of history and the 388 scribings will one day be made public again.
For we have the opportunity to correct the wrongs of history.

We appeal to the upper Senior Council of Romhoa, please reinstate our history, without which, the above story and all those who suffered, would be meaningless.

Part 2 is the follow up thread and postings below.

But you know, to take something with 'a pinch of salt' simply means "to accept it but to maintain a degree of skepticism about its truth".

So, hey, have a laugh - I don't like to see you so serious about things.

Will I see you soon? Seems AGES!

And hey guys, who is so much excited about this opus.. do you really think it’s a GREAT literature? Well.. than I feel sorry for you guys…

have you ever read real books?

This essay is somewhere on the 11-Grade student's level… the British man in Syndrome’s age could issue something more significant…

Have to admit, the essay is quite nice ...

but it doesn’t really reflect what has happened.. or I would say it gives only one-sided view, no 3D for sure…

and very well written too! Nice piece of satire, i.e. "A literary work in which human vice or folly is attacked through irony, derision, or wit."

I just wish some of these people would lighten up a bit.

Ironically, there is a recent thread something about no fun in QL anymore, depressing reading especially with some of the members comments and ideas. Don't they realise that the problems emanate from them to start with.

Here, an other example, look who has posted the only negative comments above on this humorous post LOL

I thought it was a typo, now that really has burst my bubble LOL

Seriously though, I really hope they 'unbannish' Spastrattycus, he did not say or do anything worse than the 'in' crowd.

Also, I think my main thread topic will be meaningless to all those who did not see the thread it references, so I hope the 'management' here make it readable, even if locked.

China Syndrome, I know you are busy, what with your casting and all but would you be ever so kind as to caste your eyes over my special spelling of the word you mistook for hero?

Yes. Thats it. Heero. So I don't quite see Syndromacus in all the pomp and glory that you so eloquently, but most erroneously portray him. A slayer certainly. But one with a blind over his eyes. Slaying at anything. And everything. In. His. Way.

Aaaaahhhh yet another Qollywood drama.
