Cough and cold - Dust related or Weak immune

Has anyone realized that in the past couple of years, everyone tends to get cough and cold very severely.n its takes a long time to recover. Few yrs ago, i used to get a slight cold whenever the weather changes. But recently i hav seen tht not only me, but most of the ppl whether in my workplace or otherwise get a viral infection tht lasts for month and a half, including a cough tht never seems to go away. I think it has got to do with the dust thts been generated for so much construction activities in Doha. wht do u think ? or just tht my/ our immune systems have weakened?

you have to determine what kind of cough it is, either dry or phlegm-y to know what kind of meds to give... the sneezes are definitely from the dust... try antihistamines...

===========================================

Attached are 3 pictures near our house. Its Old Sudan Round About under construction since the end of the Asia Games.

They work day and night. Blow dust out on the street where masks.

Pictures are taken exactly at Iftar time. I called 999. Was asked what is my nationality?!? Was told, police will arrive. No one came, no one called.

What can you do, what do you accept?

My nose leaks 365 days in a year in Doha. The first thing i wake up in the moring is i sneeze, have itch in my throat, leaky dripping nose and all sorts of things. I usually i am taking Anti-Histamine tablets to get rid of the problem but i hate taking drugs. I also have a Air Purifer at home, the moment i walk out, my misery begins. And yes you are right lots of people are suffering from the same. Maybe A/C contributes more to the problem and ofcourse Dust is the real culprit.. We need greenery here just like Al Ain.
