Consumer Protection Dept query
I called Consumer Protection Dept (CPD) regarding one of my complaints. They were nice, picked up phone quickly and polite on the phone, they gave me ticket number and asked to send them documents and assured me as a customer they would sort out things.
I scanned all docs and sent the mail with explaination of the issue.
They replied the mail, by asking me to send official letter and describe the issue in arabic.
I can i ask my arabic friends to translate my issue description in arabic, but what is "official letter", i replied the mail and asked them, does official letter means some form or some thing, but no reply as yet from their side.
I did write mail from my office does not it become offical letter LOL just kidding.
Question 1:
Anybody can help me outto understand what official letter means ...
Question 2:
Does anybody have a success story with CPD? and would like to comment.
Thanks QLers
official letter is just a written letter - they need something more concrete than an email.

Hi,
They want to have your written complaint with your signature along with your ID number there. So if things went to court, there is written prove sustain the case. If you made it in english they will ask to translate it via any authorized translation office. So they are saving time by asking you to write it in Arabic
my friend has lodged a complaint over phone and also sent scanned documents and email letter in english. they took action immediately. I think it is only a confusion. you write them in simple english with proof of documents Definitely action will be taken
I think by "Official" they mean a "formal" written and typed letter, not an email or verbal notes etc.
with full respect
"SORRRRYYYY"
May B They wanted to SAY,"WRITTEN LETTER"
