Construction sites that go 24/7

Near the place where I live there is a construction site that works 24/7 and it started really driving me crazy at night.

Can’t sleep because of them. The constant banging, trucks backing out with their stupid “beep beep beep”!!!

I was told this is the Dohaland project...
Well, I don’t care who is it, just let people sleep at night!

Can I just call the police in here about it? Tell me, people, what to do?

u know, it is somehow comforting that i am not the only one facing this issue here.

i am actually thinking of talking to few neighbors and filing a formal complaint, if the police calling doesn't work.

Iown a flat in the ZigZag Tower .. my taneent is complaining the same ...

we managed to have the contrauctions up to certain time at night . but no ne can stop the projects as this is required for the coming events and to comply with the rerquirements of Doha 2022 .

this need to be considered when designing the towers in having sound proof windows or so .

sorry to hear such suffering specially after considering the high rent paid for such luxurious places .

I live in a compound in a peaceful area which has turned in to a graveyard now. Lota machines , people..digged the whole road in to big long pits across the road every 10 metrs. Grrrrrrrrrrrr

My door steps , windows , garden, plants and flowers all looks all dusty and dirty :((((

Our window are filled with sand dust, entrance & parking spaces were looted by construction equipments 24x7, peace is torn by the screeching machines... the above is our every day ambiance.

you may do the same what we were doing at madina Khalifa south since long time.

i.e Since there is heavy sound outside night & day, Try to Shut the doors, windows along with mouth air tight and remain silence ;-)

You Should take the first action and call police, it doesn't matter if any result will come or no,

at least you'll satisfy yourself by doing your part.

act positive always...

you must be where i am ... i know its really hard .... and i am literally trying to move as i cant stand the 24/7 works either .... its not just the works its the workers screaming and shouting during the night ...the horns constantly beeping ... the trucks... but i guess we suffer mostly because there isnt much double glazing being fitted in properties... its irritating as the place gets dusty quicker also.... be strong it will finish soon ... we hope .....

There was a QL guy some time back...who successfully managed to stop these guys... from working at night.

You can try calling the Police.

If it is Dohaland project then I dont think there will be any action. However, you can still try lodging a complaint as you are residing there.

Technically they are not supposed to do this, as there are nuisance laws, but enforcing them is another matter entirely. Chances are if it is a big project the owners are powerful enough to not worry about harassment from the police. You can always try.

I had friends that had problems with some private villas being constructed near their home--workers behaving inappropriately and lewdly and working at night--and the police were very helpful.
