City Center fog

Well everyone seems to be getting excited about the fog this morning - mainly out of frustration at peoples inability to drive properly in it - so I thought I'd upload these pictures I took this morning which show the prettier side of fog (perhaps prettier isn't the right word, but I thought it looked cool!).

Looks like it's cleared up now. I was worried we weren't going to be able to see the Red Arrows over the Corniche this afternoon!

Years ago I have seen some bad hail in Qatar and we had a massive rain store that turned into a mini hurricane the corniche was so flooded only one lane in the middle was passable by an SUV all the roundabouts were flooded. Due to how hard the ground is here water just sat up the top. It was a regular day and the sky became black and it rained really hard. Waves from the ocean were in the parking lot of the corniche. I have pics of a school near Al-Sadd street and their playground was a swimming pool. The wind was so hard water came in everyones homes and came in through the electric outlets. Everyhome had water come in as it forced its way into the cracks of the windows. Cars were left stranded everywhere due to the high water. Thats probably why the country is so keen to put in major drainage as to avoid what happened that day.

Snow in qatar would be nice... I hope as i have not seen real snow

I would rather have one rose and a kind word from a friend while I'm here

Than a whole truck load when I'm gone

Don't worry, I wasn't offended or anything. You're entitled to say what you want (as you guys so often do!) and I'm entitled to reply to you. I often enjoy reading your ramblings in the various threads you've "hijacked"!

The pics were taken from the balcony of our apartment in Beverly Hills Tower, looking back towards City Center. No idea why you're seeing red crosses darude, perhaps it was something you drank last night ;-). You should be able to see them if you click here.

Actually the pictures are real cool, Sorry for the Hijacking and jokes.

I personally like them a lot.

Away from the jokes, we need to be real careful while driving with the fog.

tcom, darude - you're missing the point of my post. I realise there are already other posts about the fog this morning, hence why I said that "everyone seems to be getting excited about the fog". I just thought I'd deviate away from the moaning about poor driving (albeit justified) and post some nice photos. Glad some of you liked them, and apologies if I've caused anyone fog overload!

I think there are far more pointless and repetitive posts in the forum that we could moan about.

I can't help you JAUNTIE IS TOO FOGGY!

This morning when I finished using the comfort room. I did noticed this slow fog being drag from my behind at a very slow momentum.. That was real creepy to watch. No comments on the smell, I leave it to DARUDE TO SMELL IT! he is a wolf with better nostrils to track them down.

When is it gonna snow in Qatar? ever happened here? in my chilliest dreams LOL. I heard there was snow in some parts of Saudi Arabia last year. How nice it would have been if it was snow instead of fog.
