Cigarettes to cost more..

Smokers of Marlboro and other Philip Morris brands
of cigarettes must cough up a riyal more to buy their favourite packs as the local dealers yesterday announced a sudden raise in their rates. Retailers said they were taken
aback when they suddenly got a circular from the dealership, Ali bin Ali, informing them of the
revised rates.
“We didn’t know anything about the price rise until
yesterday when we were suddenly handed a circular from
the dealers,” said a neighbourhood store official on grounds of anonymity.

The good thing about Beedee is that it can be concealed easily - especially in a lungi :o)

Shopkeepers are going to take advantage of this and increase the prices on all other brands as well.

Maybe impose tax on cigarettes because it's not a necessity but a vice. Incidentally, is there a law in Qatar prohibiting smoking in offices? I would really like to know as it's quite rampant, you know. Sorry smokers, but you can keep the danger to yourself and not inflict on others.

Nobody should smoke cigarettes - and smoking with an ulcer is like pouring gasoline on a burning house.

smoke...not all those who are driving car die of accident... not even 50% of then die in accidents...

But about 80% of smokers die of related health issues and premature death...so how can you compare that... if you eat healthy food you won’t have any health issue...

yes we all will die eventually... causes maybe different... yes, we cant do anything to prevent diseases like cancer…but why invite death?

Would you continue eating something if you know that it has got slow poisoning in it?

FS anything can kill you, what if you die driving your car...you've paid for the car, they are rich you are dead. What about all the food we buy, that will eventually lead to obesity, diabetes or other health issues, you've paid for your food but you are dying anyways. What happens if someone shoots you in the head...you pay your taxes..you say your prayers...but you are still DEAD :p

you are paying someone to kill you. They're rich; you're dead. You're a fool if you think smoking is cool!

Make your choices...it's YOUR life.
