The following update is from Doha News

Villagio fore UPDATE | 3:51pm: We spoke with a mom whose child attends Gympanzee. She is at the hospital attending to children who were at Villaggio during the fire.

She said 12 children have been confirmed dead, though not all necessarily from Gympanzee. Parents who are looking for their kids should go to Hamad’s Women’s Hospital Emergency Room. - Doha news

This is no time for those on QL to push their agendas, time to reflect on a sad day for Qatar and those involved.

This is a tragical day!

One of our friends (Spanish) identified his daughter amongst the dead.

If that wasn't bad enough, another colleague from another Spanish company identified his three sons dead!!!

They are both speechless and in a state of shock.

I have always predicted that this mall was unsafe!

I have always tried to detect any Fire Alarm or Smoke Detectors or even a Fire Fighting system on the ceiling, but never seen any!

It seems the looks of the sky are more important than having fire alarm and fire fighting systems!!!

Did anybody hear anything on the local media? My wife was driving about an hour after the fire broke up and had QBS radio on... not a single word...

Agrre with AP, how can a mother nursing her child in hospital know how many children are confirmed dead? She is in no position to assess casualities and can only be telling rumors she might have heard.
