Chicken is my favorite animal
Friends....I love Chicken and have so since I was a tiny little baby. I like it broiled, grilled, fried and even baked. I like it by itself, or with Alfredo sauce on noodles, I like it in rice, or served with potatoes. I eat at least a half a chicken a day and sometimes a whole one..So
I must know
Whats the chicken situation like in Doha, Qatar?
Price, quality and availabilty?
It's OK, but get bird flu vaccine shots properly :)
i agree with u qatar2love haha. i luv also chicken
U love chicken OR because the protein!
Do you want to amplify and build muscle tissue?
Anyway
You can buy a box of frozen chicken in various sizes
&Cook "chicken kabsa" easy& delicious:)
None of this scares me...I eat spoonfuls real wasabi on my USDA certified PRIME steaks.
oh please leave the srilankan spices... that is TOOOOO HOT even for other south asians.... almost all the dishes have those dried chilli paste... and its lethal
The Indian foods are nothin, as far as spicy hot goes, in comparison to Sri lankan food. Most of my Western friends, except for two Americans, can't handle them! They can't fathom how we can stomach all those pepper rich dishes. As one of my friends quipped: Lankans probably give their kids peppers instead of pacifiers!
I'd advice the Bull to try out one of the many Sri Lankan restos in Doha. Specially any dish on the menus that says "deviled", and see how it goes!
Good, that shows you have a strong stomach...you'll need that here.
you know you are moving to mini India (I mean no offence), right.... The Indian food here is amazing, but the heat off some of those dishes.... WOW!!!!
peppers ? no wonder in the pic u look soo Red like a roasted chicken....:(
We probably need to start another thread on hot peppers because i'm an expert on the subject..I live 3 months a year in Mexico so I know peppers. It's what i'm all about.
There is not a hot pepper on this earth that I haven't conquered and i've had em all my friends, in fact i've created a special hybred pepper that will take the paint off your car if you lay one on the hood...I thought I was gonna have to go to the emergency room when I first ate one.
"I like it by itself, or with Alfredo sauce on noodles, I like it in rice, or served with potatoes."
What about Jerk Chicken ?
many choices, but I think he wanted hens? Lol!
hmmmmm....could it be????? :0
GUYS AND GALS ....
just my 2 cents..
CHICKEN.....favourute animal????????????...and you guys are giving him suggeastions.....dont you think that this might be a DOUBLE ENTENDRE?????????..
Marco, are you that lame in real too?
n btw chickens are birds and not animals!
I just thought u shuold know O:
Tongues flappin
Manna Pro...chickens, chicks ...it's all here ;)
In any form or shape. Although a little smaller than what you might be used to...i call them "Beggar chicks...ens :P
I love Chicks too .. :)
Def not Manna Pro or there would be no chickens left :D
So who came first the chicken or the egg /:
I m not aware of that probably cuz I eat out aolt maybe it was becuz of bird flu Thingy
sometimes i wonder if people stopped eating chickens then the world would be overpopulated with chickens... and probably the animal rights/care parties would be political leaders... :D:D:D
Qatar is the only country I know where chicken was unavailable for a considerable period of time (at least it felt like it.)
Mandi
This is kinda weird question. Is there any country where chicken is NOT available? And how u prefer to cook it is up to u. Anyway do try arabic barbecue chicken
almost on front of RAMEZ by jarir Bookstore
Chicken is available everywhere....
Megamart do whole roasted and grilled chickens for QR13.
Little cafetarias do them, for about the same price.
I think there is Popeye's here... anyone can confirm?
The Petra Restaurant's do whole chickens with Salad and chips (fries) for QR18 - they are really yummy...
the texas man is more likely to experience constipation LOL
hope he wont be craving for haram (*oink) meat...oooops, I fogot...we could buy them at the liquour shop. :)
I am worried that a he-man from the great state of Tttttexas should be so enamoured with chicken and not prime beef steak:O(
Have you eaten "Battered Chicken"? As in "BATTERED" as it is Man! :o(
It is a Native specialty dish for chicken in the Northern part of the Philippines... they call it "Pinikpikan". And it truly is delicious!!! Yum...yum...yum!!! :o)...
u get to pick and buy a live chicken and watch it slaughtered right in front of you and would pay more or less USD 5/- for it. once upon a time about 10yrs back it was less than USD3/- for the same but a little bigger and healthier one.
i think nowadays the poultry fellows are violating underage regulations if any.
there's chicken anywhere..
Lol, foghorn leghorn, a roaster that is :)
u must be the hawk ;)
I'm thinking of the rotisserie chicken at Carrefour.

Mandilulur : Pretty cheap and infested with kinda microbes dirt 'n bacteria from the over-used oil they keep frying the chickens in.
Don't know if he (OP) is weird, but sure is a funny guy.
and cow is my favorite bird
Chickens are everywhere in the world !
No issues here in Qatar, you can get in watever way you want it : Grilled,Boiled,Roasted,Broasted,Fried,
Marinated,Humilated etc.etc.
by the way, Pappadums is my favorite snack - do we get there ?

I can't live without chickens in my life- So I needed to know Pete
I feel better- Thx FathimaH
I burn 7500 calories a day just existing
and it's pretty ok, specially compared to KFC. At least IMO. Qatar is the land of chicken and lamb. Plenty of restos around selling em. And the Arabic style rotisserie chicken is both cheap and good. You will be very happy here!
Do they have Popeyes there?
http://www.popeyes.com/lto.php
You are one weird man.
Oh, yes. But Carrefour sells them already roasted, pretty cheap. Just small...
Mandi
Oh no..
I might need 2 a day
MP, you will laugh at the size of the teeny-weeny chickens in Doha!
Mandi
Does anyone remember about three years ago when there were NO chicken in Qatar? Or the year before that when there were no eggs just before Christmas and people were flying to Bahrain to get eggs? And the time that arabic bread was rationed?
Mandi
Ha- You know about Fog Horn leg horn? Even to this day when I tell a joke and it bombs I say
"That's a joke, I say that's a joke, son!"
Anyway- I want whole chickens, and I wanna take them home and slow cook them...They cost about $5 here.
I love chicken
They are no foghorn leghorns , but they serve the purpose ..
In Doha, you can have chicken to your heart's content.
*Price = reasonable/easy on the pocket
*Quality = commensurate with price/ there are many choices of good restaurants
*Availability = 24/7
