A happily married couple celebrates their first wedding anniversary until fate pushes the husband to death on an accident. While the husband cannot accept the fate that happened in his happy life, he asks Heaven to bring him back to the land of living and be reborn, but Heaven forgot to remove his previous life's memories. 23 years later, the wife is still stuck with the husband's memories, the daughter grew up, and the best friend helps to take care of them. Enter a homeless young man who found a seemingly coincidental friendship with the daughter. He was brought home for a dinner. Little beknowing that the young man will suddenly remember everything of his past life's memories after staying awhile in the house and the family...and all the fun breaks loose.
I found this one movie at the back of my head when I was 16 when my mom kept a video copy of it back then. I can't seem to remember how the scenes fare when I've seen this movie back then so might as well reminisce it again. Now I realized why my mom kept it back. It relates to how she wants to recover after my father's death.
An amiable comedy with a lighthearted tone starring a then young Robert Downey Jr (the Iron Man guy at his prime) featuring a story that's so 80's but fun all the way, and the famous soundtrack by Peter Cetera and Cher "After All"...and of course Johnny Mathis' song too (to where the title is based from).
