Challenge for Doha drivers

For those who didn't read the Gulf Times Today, this in the Letters to the Editor section. Nice to see this included in the local paper!

Dear Sir,
I am really surprised that no one in Qatar has not yet considered of staging a road race locally in the style of Monaco.
Not only would it be an exciting spectacle, but from what I have observed, it would be a race where drivers in Doha would be able to match international rally drivers for skill and daring.
The race would be to navigate the fastest route from the airport to the Khalifa Stadium to the Ritz-Carlton and back without using the Corniche.
Special stages where points could be scored could be as follows:
a) The greatest numbers of red traffic lights crashed through.
b) The greatest number of give-way notices ignored at roundabouts.
c) The greatest number of lanes changed in a one kilometre stretch.
d) The greatest number of other drivers harassed by driving less than a metre from their rear fender whilst flashing headlights.
e) The longest stretch driving simultaneously smoking and talking on the mobile phone.
f) The greatest number of shortcuts taken using the hard shoulder and access roads to jump traffic queues.
Special bonus points would be awarded for the levels of abuse and rude signs which can be made to other drivers.
I really think some of our four-wheel vehicle drivers could hold their own with any international champions in these categories, and be on the podium.
