A cat called Launcelot
Hi everyone
This is the story of a cat called Launcelot. Launcelot came to us some months ago. He is a scruffy white cat with possibly the most affectionate nature of any cat I have ever owned over the years. For a time he lived in our garden and in the spare room upstairs (he happily uses a litter). We have three other cats so we were careful to keep him separate as he didn't look very well. Some antibiotics from the vet got rid of a nasty infection but, sadly, tests for Cat HIV showed that Launcelot was positive. This means that we cannot take Launcelot back to Britain with us when we go and that he has to remain apart from our other cats. The illness does not affect humans in anyway whatsoever, however it can be passed between cats during fights or intercourse.
Therefore poor Launcelot, who may only have a year or two left to live in his current state of excellent health, cannot be in a home with other cats, but needs to be by himself with a loving owner who likes the idea of a big soft purring white mass rolling on their lap and rubbing against them.
Can you care for him? Please?

Cars with HIV?Common Charmed...........!Theres no such things....you just one to have points..........
catch HIV through blood and intercourse! it has no affect on humans whatsoever thou! so dont worry about that one!!! People tend to get scared that cats can pass HIV to humans but they cant its impossible a whole different type of virus! Poor wee thing thou the cat i had didnt last too long but as long as she was happy in her last few years thats all that counts
how in the hell a car had HIV ??????????? damn i wont touch any ones car now :P
It will be interesting to see if people start blaming Cat HIV on homosexual cats. :(

Hi Moonbeam
Will post some photos in the next few days. He really is a very special boy.
Any help will be appreciated. In the West (well, in the UK) we have special adverts for people to take cats just like him and they rarely have trouble finding homes. Seems much more of an uphill struggle here.
Kind, and, I stress, cat-less people, I beseech you, he really will make a great pet!

Oh, poor sweetie. It's always the sweetest animals that have it the hardest.
Hopefully someone can adopt him, particularly as his condition is no threat to humans.
If the Animal / pet group gets activated, please send me a picture and maybe I can help finding him a home.
Ciao
