Cashing a UAE Personal Check (National Bank of Abu Dhabi) in Doha

Does anyone know the best place (the least amount in fees) in Doha to cash a personal check from my own UAE checking account (National Bank of Abu Dhabi)?

I bank with QNB in Doha and will contact them tomorrow, but, perhaps someone knows of a place that will charge the least amount in fees. For other reasons, I prefer not to pay any fees to QNB, if it can be helped.

An online search of the QL archives shows that five years ago it was possible to cash a personal check from the USA for about 20-30 QR, but I have not seen anything about a UAE check.

I just received some information from QNB regarding this transaction but am not sure that it is correct. I was told that there would be a deposit fee of 25QR and another fee of 300QR. I don't see why an additional 300QR fee would be charged, when cashing US personal checks only incurs a 20-30QR charge.
