'Carla Bruni is a prostitute'?

By jpa

An Iranian newspaper has called Carla Bruni, France's first lady, a "prostitute" after she attacked Iran's plan to stone a woman to death.

Whatever it is, I love French.

Maybe they should let NATO dictate all their policies.. Maybe that will qualify as courage.. Well to each their own.

whyte, I am sure the Iranian people have courage. They need to live under that government.

Other than that, well, if you see what that governmet does as "courage"..ok, each to their own.

I don't agree with whatever policies Iran follows but it's fun to see them pissing off the "Powerful" and "Civilized" countries over and over again at every possible opportunity :o)

Those imperialists can't leave people alone,if Iran is stoning someone, its their business,if the french president like his wife despite her history, it his business, there are millions dying of hunger, diseases, floods, hurricanes, executions without trial...etc , imperalists are preparing their people psycholog for the new war on Iran.

Bruni is a _____ with a lot of baggage from her past, but it seems France is pleased with a colorful first lady. There’s nothing like a _______ to put some class into highest office in France. What does it say about a French President who marries a _____ who stole him from his wife? Bruni is trouble.

but I suspect this is exactly what these people want..that their " pearls of wisdom" be heard by the whole world! Why give them that importance? Its really hardly news worthy anymore.

Fatimah, i suppose the media is printing it because they want the world to see, over and over, what this particular country does.

No not the comment by the Iranian press...that's their playground after all..casting harsh judgments,or rather misjudgments! What's amazing is how the world media actually takes what they say seriously enough to broadcast it! Do people really care as to what an Iranian newspaper has to say against anyone? Were they expecting any better from them? Stupidity is an understatement really and I doubt Carla or her DH give a damn!

Stupid act by the media....insulting anyone wouldn't solve any issue.

Even Iranian govt. has warned media:

The Iranian government today urged the country's media to refrain from insults after a hardline newspaper twice described Carla Bruni-Sarkozy, France's first lady, as a "prostitute".

The Iranian leaders wanted to shut carla bruni up and ask her not interfere in other countries internal affairs.

And btw,she even said she would "work hard" for the condemned Iranian woman's release.

I find this interesting - is the prostitute morally more pathetic than the person who has to pay to get "companionship"?

Any reason is acceptable for a woman to be called a prostitute in the Middle East...

What really counts here is that Iran has the Worlds' eyes upon them with this case - and that is something they were not expecting and do not like.

That's one of the things I love about this part of the world: if you're a woman and you behave in a way they don't expect, it makes you a prostitute!

I think she has enough money to ask for more by selling her body. Maybe she takes sex as a sport only.

In that case, she is a sportsperson.

this word is being used quite often these days..

just recently, the libian leader, gaddafi called some 500 pretty italian women and paid them to listen to lectures on islam and urged them to convert. out of 500 women, 3 took islam as their faith almost immediately and the rest walked away..

this was referred to as 'religious prostitution' by the opposition leaders.
