Car repair

Hello. I'm always glad to be browsing here and checking everybody's concerns in qatar.
Well I'm needing info on what requirements do I need to have my car repair. Actually, what happened was when I about to park my car down in our building, I got bumped and scratched the right front passenger's door against this steel bar or bollard. I've seen 1 bollard in front but haven't noticed that one already beside the car while I was reverse maneuvering.
The traffic here had been horrendous and getting to park a car had also been a pain.
Anyway, my inquiry is, do I still need police blotter for it to be accepted for repair by car workshops? I know for accidents with other vehicles or other properties resulting to major damages requires police blotter.
And how much would the repair cost in QR (damage is 1.5 feet length of 1/2 inch hollow).
Please advise. Thanks in advance and greatly appreciate it.

From the look it's really required. It's just another hassle step to have it repaired. Thanks for the reply. Well, I'll be taking a picture of my car then.

Bst rgrds to you.

yes you do need a police letter. My husband did similar like yours. What he did he take the photo of the pole he bumped with the car then take his car photos, went to the police station showed it to the policeman and they issued the letter.

The car repair garage wont touch your car without any letter from the police.

Good luck.
