I think the challenge is the negotiations skills, the research you had done about the type you want and how much you are willing to pay. W

I personally would not buy anything older than 3 years. I learn my lesson on that one.

For once you have to get that car inspected first.

The record of maintenance and condition of the car overall is the most important. Be careful with the lemon cars out there.

How many owners drove that car?

young driver or elderly? Why? Most of the time young drivers will off road those vehicles and would not take of them. That is just assuming!

How they drove the car?

Look for wear and tear of the ball joints, belts, battery box rust condition, shocks, brake system, and integrity of the transmission, Exhaust system, transfer case, oil leaks, any kind of leak.

I'll advise you to test drive the car for a long drive. If the owner has power wash the engine and got the oil or hydraulic leaks off, they will reappear again when you drive it for 60 minutes or more.

I recommend you to invest 300 QR and have that car check by a computer for engine compression and have it look under a lift in detail, in a garage.

Those prices are just a desperate call to drop greatly the price. Specially when you find deficiencies.

Be aware of the used car dealers in Doha.
