Car accident on Jassim bin Hammad street

Dear All,
I was involved in a car accident today at 4.20 pm.
Location: between first and second r/a after Markiya r/a.
I was driving a blue Kia Sorento coming from Omar bin al Khattab street. After passing through the r/a, having a bus on the second lane, I passed on the third lane.
After 200-300m a old shaped Camry like car follow me with a huge speed. I was about 80, 82. This one has at least 120km/h.
He stayed for couple of second on less than a meter behind me then overtook me on the second lane (on right side). By reflex, I turned my eyes to check what is he going to do an to be prepared to push the break if he will try to pass in front of me.
Sock!!! In the moment he was in paralel with me, he look at me and just turn the driving wheel, hit me and pushed me out of the street. I crashed into the first lighting pole, spin couple of times and then stoped in the middle of the street.
The other driver run away.
Obviously I was not able to see his number.
If anyone, in particular the drive of the bus or anyone who was in that bus saw the accident, please contact me by PM or on email at [email protected]

For details about the driver and the car, if considered true by the police and if conduct to arresting of the driver, I will pay a ransome of 2000QAR. Any witness who can testify at police he was there and saw what happened, I will pay 500QAR.
I want to charge the driver with attempt to murder even if I am loosing the insurance.

I guess odinah2k4 has given excellent method to track the culprit down.

The police can check the radar video streets in front and can easily see a "bump on the left side camery like car". If the bump was on the right side it would have been difficult to see on the camera.

Of course some of the police would be too dumb/lazy to go through the hassle but if you prod/plead them they might help you.

Its best if you know arabic or take along a guy who speaks arabic.

I guess the guy would have been high on drugs to commit such a crime.

I have been into such thing before ...

But moreover, I saw the guy, the car description and the PLATE number ... and till now my car is pumped from the back and i cannot repair it .. and whenever u r checking with the police they r saying that they can't get him .. bcuz he is not the owner of the car ..

Probably the owner is someone powerful and it's more than 8 months now and they did nothing ...

So i'm sorry to say that even u got the plate number .. they will close ur case if he is from a powerful family or something ..

oh one suggestions to all drivers and passengers.... always bring your camera anywhere you go.. but make sure its always charged. we never know what will happen. They will try to escape from their mistakes, and pictures are the only way we can prove them guilty.

we had the same experience one time... we were approaching the rainbow r/a from city center so we slowed down.. when we were at the r/a, my fiancee stopped and looked, all of the sudden I heard a big sound of a breaking car and I said "OH MY GOD" and then boom. we were at the inner lane by the aisle, a mercedez benz hit the curve and hit our car on our left side so hard and all i saw was the roof of the car. he smashed our car but managed to escape directly into the r/a with his tire already blown up. we couldnt move anymore as our car's tires was damaged. bec of the impact, i was shocked and just looked at the car leaving and said to my fiancee... he is escaping.. the car on our right side checked us if we are ok. when we went out of the car the the left side rear up to the front left side was damaged. we called the police and after almost 2 hours the police came. they need to tow our car bec it cant be pushed, its electronic. and told the police what to do, they told us to go to police station as they already reported the incident. we went to the police station and asking us to bring the car over. we told him that the car is not running bec of the damage. when we sent the car to them, they denied having been reported about the incident. We were shocked. I told my fiancee that I took a picture of the accident. upon presenting them the pics, they police said... oh ok, yes we had the report. Gosh, what if we didnt take the picture? The driver of the mercedez was never caught. It was so sad that they dont care about other's life. Police just dont care. We were lucky that our car is tough enough to resist such impact. Thanks to Jeep Patriot and Thank God for not letting us hurt.

those gorillas if they have the same suite?

By anonymous• 14 Jul 2009 08:03

As I had always said on my other posts, they are not people but instead action stars from the movie jumanji, you know, the monkeys driving the cars.

Again I am calling the attention of the traffic department to replace road cameras with guns loaded with tranquilizer to restrain those gorillas

If the police tells you they cant catch him, thats a BS. After hitting your car, its obvious he has a dent or something on his car too. What police can do is check all the nearby cameras of the location of accident and find out the car. Even if he went home without crossing any traffic lights police should keep an eye on all the cars that matches your description. Unless he gets it repaired somehow without the accident paper.

Sorry to hear of this - that is absolutely horrible, it's getting worse and worse here - some people are like animals on the streets, I don't know what is going through their heads, potentially you could have been seriously injured.. Thank god you weren't and I hope that person gets caught.

The same thing happened to me a week ago, I was driving my car on a maximum speed and there's a driver of a land cruiser followed me on a high speed, I'm trying to caught his attention by my park light and to think it's a single line road because there's a road work ongoing. He's so insisting and when I am approaching the round about I give way to a ten wheeler truck, so I slow down, and shockingly this guy bumped my car. I went down and noticed he's about to escaped I get my camera took shots of the incident and make noise, he's forced to got off his land cruiser, I told him to call the police and after a few shouting and talking he admitted his mistakes. He's trying to scared me but thanked God I had His wisdom to stand and faced this arrogant guy. These kind of people on the road should learned proper way of driving, respect to others and how to value life. May you find justice and God bless you.

God Bless us all drivers and passengers.
