Car accident annoyance
I know this has been posted a hundred times, but WTF is going on with the police?
One of my colleagues skidded in the basement, and smashed into my car. No-one hurt, and they're only cars, so no drama.
But, the police HAD to be summoned, in order to validate the insurance claim.
After 4 hours, the cop turns up, but won't get out of his car. I apologised for not speaking Arabic, to which he replied "I'd better learn". Then he announced he "couldn't be bothered with this", and told us to be at the Traffic Dept tomorrow at 9am and drove away.
He put his hand over his chest when I tried to see his number, so I don't even know who attended.
My point is, if we have to have these rules about summoning them, shouldn't they act in something other than an arbitrary manner? Now I'm off to the twilight zone of the Traffic Department, and who-knows-what bureaucratic nightmare...
Sorry for the rant, but really....
if it's an injury accident. Otherwise save yourself time and go directly to the traffic dept.
hope you're reading Kiko. Nobody's big "fault" but you can just imagine the treatment from the authorities. What more if it's a road accident? I am not hijacking this thread (sorry). Just linking it to an earlier one.
I'm out for the day, GOOD DAY EVERYONE!!!!!!
dgoodrebel will always be the rebellious good one
So whats new?, dude get used to Qatar. Next time whenever there is an accident, just go to the traffic department, specially during the summer.
"I call upon you all, political forces, citizens, to start a new phase which is called 'Lebanon and the Lebanese people', in which we are committed to the national project, with a civilized mindset."
Lebanese President Michel Sleiman
If its a minor accident and no dispute as to who is at fault no need to call the traffic police both can go to the traffic police station and register the accident
