Can you SCUBA dive in Doha?

Have a look at: http://www.dohasubaquaclub.com I have joined last month, Ocean Diver course starts 8th September, you need Club membership to get there, which is round 1300-1600 ryials/year depends how experienced/beginner you are... Meetings are Tuesdays, you have that info at the website...

HEY IF ANYONE S GOT ANY ADDITIONAL INFO ABOUT TAKING LESSONS DO LET ME KNOW AS WELL PLEASE

How much do diving lessons generally cost? I'm trying to get a list of fun things to do that I have always wanted to do, but have never been able to do in the States. How long are the courses?

After I tasted Maldives water, i am just thinking how to learn scuba diving hope somethin comes up b4 Dec, my affair with shells and coral is driving me crazy

I think pearl divers is the good one. Look for the PADI sign. That is a qualified diving instructors organization. They are in the phonebook. A friend of mine is also in the mits of setting up a ladies diving school. But am not sure on when it will start operating.

I and about 3 friends are interested in taking up Scuba this year as well. I had a friend who was a very experience diver who just went back to Canada in June. Before he left, he gave me the names and locations of 3 dive shops. They are (in order of his experience/preference):

Pearl Divers, N 25.27419 E 51.50518

Dolphin Diving, N 25.28839 E 51.52236

World Marine Centre, N 25.28736 E 51.54769

I have not checked any of them out yet myself--next week's tasks.

Also doing the scuba diving ... i remember once he said that the diver have social meets every Tuesday. Havent seen him online for sometimes though.

I'd imagine some hotel clubs should have this? Can anyone confirm?
