A router, just routes traffic. It has nothing to do with getting internet....
Do you want internet in your home, or do you want it all over doha for your laptop?
If you want home internet
Q-Tel rates their home speeds as
Speed 1 Mbps 2 Mbps 4Mbps 8 Mbps
But you rarely get these in real life... they are just maximum though puts. Megabit per second. You get an ASDL modem that connects to the network, and a WiFi router that allows you to connect to it wirelessly in your house, or near your house.
If you get mobile internet it is much slower and you pay for quantity... You wil get a 3G modem and get it all over the city.
There are choices you have to make, that will vary the price. Home Q-Tel seems to be about 1000QR for a minimum of three months. The mobile is cheaper at about 300QR for three months. But you are limited in the amount of data you have access to.
If you have a laptop look for free wifi spots, and enjoy the coffee...

Hi it will cost you new for 300 QR or look for old one in QL, it will give you one GB speed.
