I Just saw a thread for Camel meat.

They have Camel Meat Shawarmas at a place called Foul Lebanon, its located in Abu Hamour Patrol station compound, in the same lane as Pizza Inn.

It's was quite wierd when I tired it first, I was imagining eating camels lol... But then it tasted same as regular meat, just a little more salty. You guys should try it sometime.

Other than when someone's religion dictates what they can and can't eat, I've never understood why people find the thought of eating some types of meat disgusting (e.g. frogs legs, horse, camel, dog) while they will happily eat other types (e.g. beef, lamb, chicken, fish).

Sorry my pc restarted.

Here's the thing, Camel has been eaten since the times of Prophet (saws). So there's no objection on eating it. During the Eid time, people even sacrifice camels other than sheeps and cows. Perhaps the owner of Foul Lebnan is a very strict follower of islam.

Yes I know but I myself neither eat the one or the other, I did taste camel in a wedding once but after that never again. I just don't feel comfortable withthat kind of food. To each their own. apart from that I only gave Smoke and information.

Cb u can hijack the thread, doesnt matter to me, sorry i found the frog legs eating thing kinda disgusting..and like i said, i almost threw up when i was eating that showarma, i said it twice, We both have our views, i'd rather eat camel than any other creature that is makrooh in islam, like frog. Camels have been eaten since hte times of Prophet (saws). U being a muslim should know this and that frogs are makrooh.

I dont get where u got the cleaness part from... again as a muslim u should know about how things must be cleaned before eating in islamic way.

Actually they are no mor disgusting than legs of a camel who has been walking through the sand and this was only an information to smokie.

I find eating Camel, Horse, Ass ( as in donkey) the most horrible thing ever.

Frogs spend their time in water and I don't find them unclean.

So we were not hijacking your thread - but on this note why don't you think about hijacking yourself not completely unknown to you!@!!!

Tagazoo, its in abu hamor lol... j/k... If you are going from Soudan towards Ramada, go right from Qatar Decor Round About, (if you take left you will get to Doha College and Al Sadd stadium), if u take right, you will get to the area with fish market and all... so take right and keep going straight, until you get to a petrol station. That's where Abu Hamour petrol station is.

Why - frogs legs are eaten by the french and are available in Carrefour.

A camel is like a horse and many dislike the thought of eating horse - so same thing.

A camel. a horse, and ass (as in donkey) these meats are all available on the market as are frogs legs.

As for me - in the UAE they serve it at many weddings and it tastes good,
