Hi,

You can transfer his tourist visa into a family visit visa under your sponsorship, You will pay 200rials per renewal(monthly) up to six months until he finds a job that will sponsor him... or transfer him under your sponsorship if your salary is enough to sponsored him.

Gtim is right...ask your employer for the following requirements:

1. NOC for you to sponsor your son on family visit

2. Company Registration

3. Labor Contract

4. Passport Copy of Son

5. Passport copy and pataqa of Father

Bring all requirements to Al Gharaffa Immigration or Industrial Area (behind Woqod, near MES Indian School). If it's approved, you will pay QR200+ and he can stay maximum of 6 month. Good luck.

You should get him a family visit visa when he was still in the Philippines. You will have to pay only Qrs.200 for his entry visa and then extend it for a maximum of 6 months. But then, since he is here already the consequences for that is you have to let him go out Qatar (if he cannot find employer after a month) and get him visa under your sponsorship. A business visa can be obtained also but still your son need to go out before getting another sponsor with higher amount charged by the agency. Better you sponsor him personally it will cost lesser.Requirements of family visit visa can be reviewed from previous post under Visa and Permits forums.

I'm sorry, Vicente, but the purpose of a business visa is not for families to stay with relatives in Qatar, it is for people who are working on short-term contracts. Keep trying to renew his tourist visa, it should be renewable for another month. Visit visas are another matter.
