Saw this in Private Eye (I get it sent over every now and then) and thought I would share it with you. BTW I think only Brits will get the punch line.

Flan this one is for you..

An Indian Buisnessman arrives at Sydney Airport and is been questioned by an Aussie Immigration officer who's had a tough day in the office.

Immigration Officer, "Please confirm your name"

The Indian politely does as he is told.

Immigration Officer, "What is the purpose of your visit?"

Indian Man, "I am here to visit my son who is studying here"

Immigration officer, "Do you have any criminal record"

Wait for the punch line,

Indian man politely replies, "I did not know that it was still a Perquisite for Entry to Australia"

The saying "when in Britain, do as the Romans do" comes from this era. When British rebels were sold into slavery but local rulers and nobles supported Rome. They adopted Roman ways and dress and learned to speak Latin, the language of Rome.

Those were the days. Ceasar ruled with an iron hand, then with a wooden stick and finally with a piece of string..

Oryx--that's a Norman. Notice the shield shape, which is designed for cavalry. Vikings typically had rounder shields.

Here's a link to an image from the Bayeux Tapestry, depicting Normans.
