Brazil v England - November 2009 Doha
...apparently!!! Has anyone heard ANY of the arrangements - tickets, timings et al - surrounding this friendly international here in Doha in November. I know it is taking place as it is mentioned on the FA website as one of the games between now and the WC that Capello has to get his team right. But the silence here in Doha is deafening!! Not even my trustworthy Qatari friends here at work have heard anything.
I can give 9 Tickets

Spare a thought for those us who live here and have to suffer those prices every week!!! The locals complain about alcohol being sold here but don't mind make outrageous profits out of those who like a drink....
I should be at the game and then maybe going for a few drinks afterwards.
At that price I will definitely be going easy on the drinking!
Deano its 7 - 8 quid a pint in most places so bring lots of money!
Don't forget to Cover your wife! lol
"Deaths in the Bible. God - 2,270,365
not including the victims of Noah's flood, Sodom and Gomorrah, or the
many plagues, famines, fiery serpents, etc because no specific numbers
were given. Satan - 10."
Tickets are on sale to England supporters today through the FA members club 'englandfans'. Tickets are priced at 20 pounds but you can only buy tickets through the FA if you are a member of the Englandfans supporters club. And you will not have time to join between now and the match since joining involves sending copies of your passport and being police checked before they will allow you to become a member. There is also a significant fee to join the members club.
I am travelling over from England for the game (and am a member so will be able to get a ticket), but will also be travelling with my wife (who is not a member) so would be interested to hear if and when tickets will be on sale locally.
The englandfans membership club has strict rules around ticket distribution and fans will either have to collect tickets in person in Doha, or provide proof of travel or they will be kicked out of the members club, so there is no way that you can ask another member (who isn't going) to get you a ticket.
But what a crazy pricing......
157 quid for a ticket!!!!!!!!! I'd wanna game for that kind of money.....and I am available Fabio!!

It is on the FA website and is set to kick-off at 17:00. I'm not sure if that is Doha time or English time. Any ideas?

check the official F.A site it has confirmed the match is scheduled for the 14th Nov 8pm kick off (local time) at khalifa Stadium, there is no mention of how to obtain tickets though.
Sorry, youre right - it was the FIFA website - it has been reported recently in the Guardian and Independent on line - it was on the proviso that England qualifying top of the group..... which they have done. inhttp://www.fifa.com/worldfootball/news/newsid=1080045.html
My hubby was also told about this game (although he can't remember the source) and we would be glad to hear of any other details if anyone knows.
Well if it is mentioned on the FA website you are a better man that me. Please post the link to the right page...
