Bottled Water

Beela
By Beela

Hi Everyone!!!

I went to the grocery store to buy bottled water and was faced with a variety of choices. And I chose the wrong one. I bought a 6-pack of "Gulfa". The first bottle didn't taste all that great and I thought it was because it wasn't in the fridge long enough to get cold. Today, I almost feel nauseous after drinking it.

Back home I knew what brands I liked and which I didn't...love Naya, hate Dasani...

Anyway, which brands do you like and dislike? Do you find some taste like they could be tap water?

Purified tap water? I may as well buy a Brita filter system and fill it with tap water. I guess I should look into getting a water cooler. But then how do I know from where that water is coming?

I hate Rayyan, it used to be the popular bottled water back in the days, however has anyone seen where they store these bottles? They are kept out in the sun all day in a yard somewhere next to jaidah flyover if i'm not mistaken or perhaps those were just the distributors.

I grew up drinking gulfa here in doha. of course we all we got different "tastes":) but it tastes ok to me. now rayyan, thats one i usually avoid (except on a hot summer day and the grocery store hasnt got any other brand).. But at present we go for a box of masafi, tastes better, nice bottle-packaging too:) pricing is alright, at around QR16 for the box having 12 bottles (..or was it 8?)

Spring Water

Purified Water

Mineral Water

Sparkling Bottled Water

Artesian Water/Artesian Well Water

Well Water

Its all a matter of taste..

i would go for the Gleneagles Natural Spring water. Collected from the rainfilled valley of Gleneagles. Untouched by human hands or scottish sporans, the water has that clarity and sparkle and a hint of aroma from the haggi splashing through during the warm summer months.

A little expensive, but worth it..

Aside from the taste, its important to check the mineral content of the bottled water.

Some brands contains high level of this, especially the sodium, which may put us at high risk of acquiring kidney diseases.
